QUOTE(AlexHoYS @ Oct 1 2013, 05:08 PM) Hi,I am trying to WC my PC. 1. Choose any case that you can afford and like. Corsairs and NZXTs are pretty water cooling friendly. Bitfenix too if you like the finish.1)Sifus,please suggest a case that is large enough for the WC process.I don't think my Elite 431 will do the job. Will a Cosair 500R do? 2)Are systems like the H100/110/90 better than my 212 Evo?If so,by how many degrees? 3)Are there any place in Johor Bahru that can be a onestop station for the parts needed? 4)How much will a basic CPU/GPU loop cost? 5)Are WC'ed PC's able to be hauled around? For example,LAN party. Thanks in advance. 2. You will be able to see significant temperature drop since you're comparing a budget air cooler with pretty much high end AIO solutions. 3. You can maybe try asking Impulse megastore and see if they can accommodate you. Ask for swiftech H220 or H320, IMHO better than the corsair range, especially if you plan on adding the GPU into your loop. 4. How basic are you talking? A basic XSPC water cooling kit will cost you bout 499, add a GPU block and it'll hit bout 8xx, depending on brand. 5. Sure, why not. Just depends on how secure you build your system and that you transport it with care. If you're really worried, drain the loop before transport and fill it back up on site. |

QUOTE(melvintcs @ Oct 4 2013, 01:02 AM) hi guys, asking for opinion, i never oc, stick with stock speed. what i want is a silent case. is water cooling suitable for me? Hi bro, first off, do you have a budget for water cooling? From what I see, it looks like you plan on going custom. If you don't have a large budget, you can try swapping out your current fans for better ones first.Air Cooling (Current) 1 Front intake (HDD) 1 Rear exhaust 1 Top exhause 1 CPU Fan 1 GPU Fan 1 PSU Fan Water Cooling(Planning) 1 Front Intake 2 Radiator top 1 GPU Fan 1 PSU Fan so only 1 fan is removed if compare with air cooling? how about the pump? does it make high dba? i did some research, they said radiator with 14cm x 2 + low apm is a good go for silent/low temp? the reason i plan to go water cooling eventhough i no OC is i hope this cooling setup would be last long for me, by last long i mean 8-10 years. in future, perhaps only need to change the water block to update the CPU socket, other parts remain. so it's a long term investment If you have a good budget, then by all means, water cool. You will still need fans for your radiators, and if your case can support 140mm fans, then it will help since larger fans are quieter, but have less static pressure so ideally, get radiators optimised for air flow. Even if you go water cool, you will still need to bear with your GPU fan which can get really load when the card is loaded. So you might want to consider cooling the card as well. |

QUOTE(melvintcs @ Oct 4 2013, 10:57 AM) thx for the reply, budget should not be a problem if it's a 10 years investment or so. perhaps Rm1200 can get the job done? 1200 should be sufficient if you don't go overboard. Haha.WC my GPU will void the card warranty right? ya, GPU at load is so much noise what is ur opinion on the pump's noise? Water cooling a GPU doesn't necessarily void warranty. Just keep the stock cooler, when send for RMA, put it back. Noise will vary between the 355/35x/655, pump speeds and amount of air in the pump. The 655 is apparently the quietest. |

QUOTE(Lucassss @ Oct 6 2013, 08:19 PM) Chrome pipes of the size you need itself are not exactly easy to find. Instead, consider chromed copper pipes. That way, in the event the chrome layer wears or if you chip it, nothing bad will happen in your loop since it's copper. If you buy chromed pipes off the shelf, you won't know what the underlying metal is and if it goes crazy, can say bye bye to your blocks and radiators in your loop. |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Oct 11 2013, 08:24 PM) Pretty awesome man, later I'll post some pictures but sadly I cant control the pump. I am not sure what is wrong but I am not getting any readings from the pump rpm wire. Its possible that either something is wrong with the pump or the wire got loose when installing it. Either way pump control is no go for me but flow sensor works well though Can't control the pump or can control but don't know the speed? Hope you can figure it out. Would be good to know how the cw611 fares to the aquaero. Especially since I think it's cheaper. hahah. QUOTE(Zzorro @ Oct 11 2013, 09:28 PM) The new H-series uses 3/8" barb fittings, so that tubing's probably 3/8" ID, 5/16" OD. |

QUOTE(rozz_1291 @ Oct 12 2013, 02:57 AM) Just got back my rams from my fren and I am experiencing temperature issues with my GPU. 99+. wah bro, can boil water. On stock clock: - Idles around 40-44c - Under load such as Unigene or games 99c+ 200% OCed: - Idles around 55c+ - Under load 99c+ When it reaches 97c onwards everything just starts to lag. And eventually the screen goes completly blank. Need to reboot the whole PC in order to get it running. Can't figure out why, my WC system and GPU waterblock seems to be running ok. what paste you using btw? |

QUOTE(rozz_1291 @ Oct 12 2013, 09:39 AM) Already installed the Vram sinks bought from APES. Maybe later gonna remove the GPU block and inspect upon it. I forgot to purchase the thermal paste that day but I found my old previous Tunix TX2 which I believe is around 4 years old plus2 maybe? Could it be the thermal paste expired? How did you attach the vram sinks?Yes, you might want to change out the paste. IMHO, Tunix paste was never really good to begin with. |

QUOTE(gxthelord @ Oct 12 2013, 10:32 PM) Hi all, new here in this part of WC world. Just so you know, the Raystorm 750 RX240 kit does not use a D5 pump, but uses XSPC's own 750 pump. You should be fine even with an additional GPU block. just make sure you buy a block that's compatible with your card. The case I'm using is NZXT Phantom 530 so I think there's sufficient space for 2 rad. Or I should stick with the D5 kit? Whether or not you need a second radiator is totally up to you. You can start with the kit, run it and if you don't like the temperatures you're getting, add on another radiator. The D5 kit and the 750 kit are two different things bro. I've got the kits as well, if you're looking for a place to buy. |
