But aquaeros quite nice la,
Got so many bunch of features including flow and temp. sensor,
3pin n 4pin Pwm fan control, pump control n etc etc
I really wan to try it, i really wan to know how the software working by connecting the usb header to motherboard,
Thinking to get LT version and power adjust, but not sure its a good investment n worth the money,
Inb4 wts bitfenix recon tongue.gif

It's worth it if you want to automate your cooling and not have to adjust knobs all the time. Also if your rig has plenty of stuff you wanna monitor, quite worth it.

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Aug 24 2013, 02:57 AM)
got like 11fans + flowsensor + cpu, reservoir, casing led & luminous panel to control. Basically ease of access to control these...

From what I heard there are forumers who burnt their controller by running the fans at a low speed & some reports that the controller runs pretty hot. Also based on reviews, controlling the rpm is not very accurate.

I checked, they dont have it lol. See la how then, I guess between recon & lamptron now  hmm.gif
*
So much stuff. Haha. Iinm a lot of fan controllers have issue with running fans at low speed. Something to do with how the controller handles the speed. Lamptron's speed handling is different than others, iirc. The recon from memory controls the fans using voltage regulation, so by default the excess power that's suppose to go to the fans are instead taken by the fan controller nd converted to heat.

And controlling rpm can never be totally accurate anyway. Lol. Even paper specs for fans are wrong sometimes. sweat.gif

atm whats the best bang for buck watercooling full set for sapphire HD7950 dual X 950mhz edition?
*
I don't think there's a kit to watercool GPUs. You meed to buy the wb separately. Cheapest kit would be either the swiftech one or one of the xspc ones. About RM500 cheapest. Then add about 300 for your GPU wb.

Exactly, which is why I choose lamptron as my first choice . They uses something like a pwm to control the speed unlike other manufacturers who just convert it to heat by under volting.

What I mean by not accurate is iirc recon increments the fan speed every 20%. So you dont have like accurate control because every 20% increment is big right?  rolleyes.gif
*
Yeah, lamptron controls slightly different. That's why their components if you see also, quite different from typical controller. But I've heard of lamptron controllers burning also. Lol.

You do know the recon is partially a smart fan controller, right? Maybe settings adjusted wrong? Lol.

What do you mean by partially smart fan controller?
*
Well, if I remember correctly la, the controller can throttle the fans automatically depending on your system's loads. Of course if you set it to manual control then it should do that. Got two modes, auto and manual.

yuup.. got my 1st Lamptron FC 6 fan controller burnt for no reason. everything setup perfectly..when i turned on main system, got a big spark of fire from the controller.. almost burnt the rest of the cables near to it nod.gif

i'd go for aquaero..got me them Aquaero usb 4.0..sweet stuff including flow sensor
*
Whoaaaa. That's the old aquaero. Good to hear its still working. thumbup.gif

You bought the MPS flow sensor bro?

damn thats scary. lingloong also told me there are a lot of RMA cases with lamptron fan controllers. Now I am thinking twice should I get it or not  laugh.gif

I can get a cw611 for RM360, nzxt recon for RM150, arrghh so hard to decide. If recon can claim warranty locally, if lamptron need to ship back etc  rclxub.gif
Oh I see, cool but most likely will use manual la smile.gif
*
I think with everything also see luck la. just like my ocz vector. It just died on me after I flash my mobo bios. doh.gif have to send rma. sweat.gif

Bitfenix recon you mean. tongue.gif

Did you ask niclasteoh if he's still doing lamptron? Maybe can get the cw611 from him.

I guess I could but I think distro is dropping lamptron...

edit: good news, niclasteoh is bringing it in. Gonna get it from him end of sept...I guess my build should be done by end of sept then  doh.gif

Is there another way to control my pump speed?
The asrock utility tool and also bios is VERY WEIRD.

Any single fan controller out there that I can find?
*
does speedfan work for you? old software, but can give it a shot. haha.

I would advise against a single fan controller. might end up doing more damage than good. sweat.gif

QUOTE(Krauser @ Aug 24 2013, 11:19 PM)
wait whaat?
i noob in electrical but that cw611 clearly dun have 4-pin pwm,
i do read some forum that they r using reverse power and overvoltage protection,
which its not converting volt by over or under volting to heat (well.. maybe.. i duno lol  laugh.gif )
imho.. its still using over/under voltage to the speed that u need rolleyes.gif ,
btw.. did niclasteoh quote u the price of cw611?
*
Lamptron's method of fan control is similar to that of PWM and does not follow the typical fan controller which adjusts voltage. Well, that's what I read before la anyway.

If the fan controller adjusts fan speeds by controlling the voltage, and if the circuit is by default 12V, where's the excess going to go if say you put your fan to spin at 5V? Excess of 7V has to go somewhere. tongue.gif

oh yeah, need to summon kizwan. Last I checked he was interested in the CW611 also. LOL

Nice going aquaero.. I got the fan controller including aquaero flow sensor.
Not quite sure what's MPS stands for...noob for short terms lol

infernoaswen
Really is scary..after it burnt, I went to buy a second fc6.. used it for 2 days, suddenly burnt also. Ain't no joke for this one.. just my luck.. then bought a new lamptron touchscreen, only a couple of month, screen went dark..gave me a hell lot of work for me to adjust my fan speed. Finally, aquaero saves me all the hassels
*
Not sure what MPS stands for either. But it's aquacomputer's flow sensor. Looks something like this right?

Those using coolant, I'm assuming either EK or Mayhem right? No one using Thermochill or XSPC coolant?

Edit: anyone wanna join me buy some EC6 coolant? Pretty much legendary coolant. Lol.

Here are some links.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showth...-Coolant-Review

http://www.overclockerstech.com/thermochil...-cooling-fluid/

Just in case no one knows. XSPC bought rights to Thermochill long ago, and they're now making the EC6.

No white though.
