is called hiyoko ひよ子 and is like a bean paste (sort of like a sweet and smoother version of penang tau sar pneah).

More traditional than Mochi.
If you a Japanese, you gift mochi as gift to another Japanese friend. You will get kick out from house. No sinceally give a gift.

Normal melon around rm300 above. Can get from Isetan when Melon Season.

Yokan (羊羹)

Not expensive + elegant + perfect stuff eat together with Green Tea. When you visiting a Japanese family. You gift Yokan.

Yokan sweet + Green tea bitter = excellent result
