We've been pushed around too much in the past, throws tantrum, hands in request & we obliged. maybe in the past we weren't good enough to be having much quality players or grade AAA type to support players that headed out, i.e. torres, mascherano, owen, mcmanaman. maybe we (Lfc) was partially responsible to just rely on gerrard-torres combo or gerrard-owen combo or gerrard-suarez combo. We have been known to be called a 2 man team. oh damn, its always gerrard+ (insert name) again.

Ok. maybe we aren't able to get type AAA but it seems we are willing to get AA or a few graded players (instead of fringe B's, allen??). (Btw you guys know that Henrikh Mkhitaryan deal is all to be sewn up this week right? )

Henrikh's deal would seem that we are probably lifting the "burden" off our star players. i know we shouldn't rely on weather Henrikh will suit the premiership but the philosophy behind rodger's pick would seem, "hey we aren't just always grooming (young) players to be sold".

Whether or not it will convinced the likes of suarez to take notice but we hell wouldn't want to let next seasons opportunity pass us by without a fight. (reasons stated before)

I will tell suarez this, your boots are liverpool boots (you have a contract, we expect you to be a professional. play as you are 100% as always or take a seat on the bench)

No professional will want (or like) to take a seat on the bench esp players like suarez. Every player lives to "play' (maybe not english players like joe cole who would rather flirt with the medical nurses ?? ). So i expect suarez to realise we can play hard ball this time too.

I believe Rodgers may means business this time. he has certain shortcomings on tactics but he has learned to adapt quickly against oppositions.



IF shankly was managed suarez, and if suarez pulls a transfer request, i would think shankly will just tear the transfer request in his face. (just a shock value, but knowing shankly he will pull the player aside & give him a piece of his mind that the player will never ever forgets.

No club can stop a player when he already handed down a transfer request. No matter what his grade is. Remember Cristiano Ronaldo? I believe and I quote "I would rather let him rot on the bench rather than him going to Real Madrid" - Rudolph

and really I would't let a player whose heart is already somewhere else to play for the club. Something worse than the bite could happen. This is 21st century football. Players play for fame and fortune. They come and go. Deal with it

I think you may have a point. Usually, i do feel that we should let players who wanted to go, GO. But i think in Suarez's case, we can force him to stay. Just like what City/Mancini did to Tevez. I don't think Suarez plays golf so he'll probably just sulk.

I say this because looking at the way our transfers are going about, Suarez's departure was never in the plan for FSG. FSG will spend money to acquire players regardless of us selling Suarez. Apart from the Carroll to west ham deal to fund our future purchases and several others like Shelvey and Skrtel, we are not looking to profit from Suarez's sale.

Looking at reports suggesting that we are close to the Armenian (who I think is overpriced) suggests that we are giving a strong signal of intent to push strong next season. I think FSG have the money to make it happen. Suarez staying will only strengthen our squad. I think he is passionate & professional enough to keep playing with us albeit forced because he is a world class player who likes to play football and he must have one eye fixed on cleaning up his image thus increasing his value to attract "BIGGER" clubs.

P/s: Remember, Suarez is a player who likes to play. He wont be happy not playing and sitting on the bench and that guy just wont get injured. I have a strong feeling that if he was forced to stay with us, he will play and give his best. I Hope.

- It being mooted that we would not anything less than 40mil pound.
- But close sources state Real r planning to offer 25/30mil + Spain Under-21 star Alvaro Morata(CF) to us to seal the deal
- FYI @ BR did have a look at Alvaro Morata talent which he shinning at the current Under 21 tournament.
My Personal Opinion. If we can get 40mil + Morata will b "GREAT" value but i think Real r goin to offer 30mil + Add On to 33/35mil + Morata to sealed the "Dealed". They wont be willing to pay more than 40mil coz Suarez wanted to moved & their Primary target is BALE not Suarez.

We are REAL foolish if we sell Suarez for anything below 50mil. He has a long term contract with us. It's not 18 months, it's not 12 months. It is 50 odd months over left if I am not mistaken.

Not sure if the 40mil clause is real. If it is, then it is out of our hands but if not, then 50mil and not a penny less. Kick that in with goals and appearances fee. And that is the REAL price for other clubs.

For Real Madrid, 60mil and not a penny less only because we want to teach the bully not to bully.

What we can think of the Suarez situation, LFC knows better. We're on top of the situation, interested club either pay up or shut up.

LFC is always open for interesting negotiation. Maybe RM pays 30mil, Suarez himself just need to cough up the additional 20mil since he is so eager to go.

Now dont say we didnt give him a chance. LOL
