==> You'll Never Walk Alone <==

http://www.unbase.com/n/5853623009

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.

Gareth Bale [ 46 ]
Robin Van Persie [ 91 ]
Luis Suarez [ 96 ]

Very close fight between Suarez and Van Persie. I can conclude that, many MU fans were here. biggrin.gif

If you are MU and you are open for healthy football discussion, then welcome.

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Jun 13 2013, 12:07 AM)
QUOTE
England U21 coach Stuart Pearce excused Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom from his wrath after their dismal 1-0 defeat to Euros hosts Israel.

England leave tournament with three straight losses.

"I don't think so," Pearce said when asked about that. "I think we've got players here who have not performed.

"Barring Andre Wisdom, I would say, and his performance tonight - that's why he was made captain and I think he should be captain for the next two years. I think he led by example. I think players didn't bring their form here."

Ouch! That's an indirect slap into the face for Jordan Henderson. sweat.gif

Personally I do think the England media over-hype their players.

Frankly, Jordan is not a versatile player yet and dont have that extras needed to carry the team forward. He's doing well in Liverpool because the current team's style of play fitting into him and they are finding him when he makes the run ahead.

It ain't the same in England. When it comes to England, even the great Gerrard sometimes suffer.

I am surprised Pearce keep choosing our players to be captain. And now these boys are associated with carrying the team to a back to back 3 straight defeats. biggrin.gif

Losing morale in the process.

Think Henderson is very good CM but wont be a Stevie-like CM, much like Jack of all trades but master of none

This guy got great position awareness, especially this game.

If we did land him, expect Henderson, Allen & Shelvey to be pushed down the pecking order.

That I know, Ilori is a 6'3" centreback. Would rather not have another centreback masquerading as a leftback e.g. Agger. The current alternatives to Enrique are Downing, Johnson and Robinson. Johnson played there for a fair number of games last season. The benefit of having right footed players on the left is they can more comfortably mark wingers who like to come inside.

I'm a little worried, we've been buying and buying and buying. Will the club play as a team?

Liverpool have tonight agreed a deal in principle with Celta Vigo for striker Iago Aspas, subject to documentation being completed.

Aspas scored 12 goals in 34 games in 2012-13 despite playing in a side threatened with relegation until the final day of the season.

During the campaign he was directly involved in 51 per cent of his team's goals.

The 25-year-old broke into the senior side at the Spanish outfit in 2009 after graduating from their youth set-up.

Aspas can play through the middle or out wide and he could become Brendan Rodgers's second signing of the summer transfer window following a deal for Kolo Toure.

if this guy can form like he did at celta vigo, we have another goal machine. but defend style in la liga totally different with BPL. BPL more robust.

There are 2 objectives that need to be met here :-

1) Bolstering the squad - BR himself has come out to say that we had a paper thin squad last season. Whilst the likes of Shelvey, Henderson, Sterling, Assaidi, Yesil, Suso and Wisdom are promising players, they are hardly game changers. Not all the players we sign will walk straight into the first team, thus fans need to manage expectations and note that some may merely be squad players. I don't for example see Toure or Aspas starting every game.

2) Buying the right players - Mentioned before how the centrebacks we're targetting all have pace, unlike Carra who has retired and Skrtel, who is linked to a move away from the club. Toure may not be as quick as he used to be but without an organiser at the back, his experience could prove vital. Similarly, our forward line will consist of players who are adept to play not just in the middle, but further out wide as well. This is to accommodate a 3 pronged strikeforce. All are so far mobile and they will be required to track back to help defend. This is why Carroll is being ostracised. His lack of mobility is seemingly unsuitable for our style of play.

I'm more worried about foreign players settling in rather than whether or not they will be able to cope with the way we want to play, provided the criteria above are met.

Dillion,

Out of curiosity why do you refer to Aspas as "The Little Suarez" in the thread title? Bloke's only 0.05 metres shorter.
