if this guy can form like he did at celta vigo, we have another goal machine. but defend style in la liga totally different with BPL. BPL more robust.

Just no long before, rumour on Swansea defender also 1x million.

Andy Carroll poised for £15m West Ham move as Liverpool line up Iago Aspas and Simon Mignolet

Andy Carroll will undergo a medical at West Ham United on Tuesday as Liverpool prepare to make a £20 million loss on their club-record signing.

By Mark Ogden11:00PM BST 17 Jun 201314 Comments
Carroll, a £35 million buy from Newcastle United in January 2011, was due to fly back from a holiday in the United States on Monday night to complete the formalities of his £15 million transfer to Upton Park, following a season-long loan with Sam Allardyce’s team last season.
The 24-year-old, who scored seven goals in 24 Premier League appearances for West Ham during his loan, is understood to have agreed a six-year contract worth £100,000 a week in order to complete a permanent move to the London club.

he hear you tongue.gif ..this is the reason why we need so many midfielders & forwards...i dont care if players not happy sitting on the bench...if they want to play 1st 11, they'll have to fight for it

Alberto:
- Barca's refusal to pickup option on him implies that he is no better than their current crop.
- If you were to look at Spain's national squad, almost all of the bigger names have gotten numerous caps in u-21.
- Alberto has only made 1 u-21 appearance so it basically means he is not as good as many other youngsters in the country and is likely to not be an important player for the national team in the future.
- Not saying he is bad or he will not turn out good, just saying the asking price is a tad too much for an unproven kid who's only real experience is Segunda Division.
- Let's not compare him with Coutinho, Coutinho has played quite a number of first team football in Brazil, Italy and Spain. He is also very highly rated amongst Brazilian youngsters racking up numerous caps and winning an u-17 competition for Brazil in the process.
- Alberto much more unproven than Coutinho.

Mkhitaryan:
- Hope we can conclude the deal soon, this guy looks the real deal.
- I still prefer Christian Eriksen though, what do you guys think about him?

Downing:
- Was decent for the 2nd half of the season but if he is earning wages as reported in the media we should sell him to shed some wage bill.
- Don't see much playing opportunity for him next season.

Ince:
- Typical overrated/overpriced youngster.

Robinson:
- Glad to have him too but he is just not ready for first team action.
- Would love to see him loaned out to another side in the top flight.
- Let's not forget how defensive mistakes have cost us games last season. It's been 4 seasons since CL football, if we don't get back in soon the financial gap will widen further and further.
*
agreed on Alberto part...i dont remember him playing UEFA u-21 final v Italy the other day where Alcantara scored a hattrick..he and Alcantara are miles apart in terms of development..and i dare to say that Fabio Borini is a much more developed player than him..but thats doesnt mean he's not a good player..hope we'll give him time to develop coz he is talented..that part nobody cant deny it

I am not sure too much changes will do any good to the squad.

The fact that we are said to be considering the possibilities of removing Downing, Shelvey, Coates, Skrtel and Reina from the existing squad means there seems to be a big overhaul of squad.

The team coercion will be affected and I dont think that's a good thing.
*
it will affect the squad..but only in early part of the season..as the season wore on, the squad will get better..and as all the name u list above, only reina is a guaranteed starting 11..so i can see it will only a minimum effect to our squad

Simon Mignolet has become Liverpool’s latest signing in an ambitious summer spending spree, as Brendan Rodgers considers an audacious swoop for Gerard Deulofeu, the Barcelona forward.

Mignolet completed his £9 million transfer from Sunderland yesterday after passing a routine medical examination and finalising personal terms on a five-year contract.

The Belgium goalkeeper is Rodgers’s fourth signing in the past month after the acquisitions of Luis Alberto, Iago Aspas and Kolo Touré. Rodgers is now considering a move for Deulofeu, who scored 18 goals in 33 appearances for Barcelona B in the Spanish second division last season.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Spain, but is aware that his immediate prospects of playing first-team football are slim at the Nou Camp.

Deulofeu is understood to be keen to join a club who prioritise passing football in the event that he has to leave Barcelona, and fits the profile of player that Rodgers is keen to attract to Anfield.

Liverpool would be likely to face strong competition for Deulofeu if they decide to make a move for the teenager, but the presence of Alberto, with whom he enjoyed a productive partnership for Barcelona B, could be a trump card.

Liverpool are optimistic that a deal can be struck with Shakhtar Donetsk to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has been warned by his club that he faces a fine after failing to return to pre-season training.

I'm with you on this. BR foresee what's coming and preparing for life after Reina leaves. Good planning ahead. thumbup.gif
Gerard Deulofeu?! shocking.gif  That's one interesting prospect that I've follow closely. IMO, if we can land this kid then it's as good as we've made a "30 million" type of signing. Still I'm waiting for our next CB target to surface after Papa's deal seems to be put off recently.
*
but i cant see barca letting go one of their brightest prospect..at best i'm expecting a loan move with no buy out clause cry.gif

how many of you believe neymar can survive the PL? i know he wont

Why is Stevie G worrying about united slipping up? You guys should worry about qualifying for the champs league.
Chelsea Man City everton tottenham arsenal are ahead..
You guys have loads to do before catching up.
*
thats why stevie said that..he knew m.u is ahead of liv rite now..and the best chance for liv to qualify in CL is by hoping one of top 4 slip up

im sure he'll shine at other clubs..but what matters is he'll only a bit part player at liv..to be a successful player in BR kiki lala style, u need a good first touch & ball control..sadly jonjo doesnt have that..at smaller club im sure he'll be a success..he's a bit like what jermaine pennant at arsenal..never ever gonna be a wenger player, but not bad at other clubs except us!
