im going to buy memo pad 8. is the tablet good? any other option for tablet with similar price range?

i'm looking for a tablet which is around 7-9 inch
main purpose is for work (ms word / email /excel )
so a good battery life is required.

not much gaming on the tablet.

budget is around 500-800, i'm open to china tablets as well =)

was thinking, tab 3, memo pad, nexus7. but nexus 7 doesn't hav memory slot

I don't think with that kind of budget can do such many function... Hope someone here done before know how to figure out which type of China tablet able to do that.

The battery kinda sucks, and it is getting too slow these days, flipping screen can have shutter-lag.. mainly used for reading TheEdge.

Any 10inch recommendation for a much better battery life and non-lag tablet? Budget not an issue, only need the Wifi-type.

I think the best battery life for Android 10" tablet is Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). I don't own any 10" or 7" of Android tablet, but the Apple iOS of the iPad battery is really honestly awesome.

Apple iPad Air, only rm1599 for 16GB Wifi version.

If you want Android, get the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. It's currently on a promotion by Sony Malaysia. RM1399, free screen protector and casing.

My wife made the switch from apple to android because it is easy to drag videos from pc to android, hassle free.
If we want to watch mp4s, do we still need to go through itunes or still need to convert into
their readable format? Quite sick of doing that, so thats why I choose android these days haha..

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z stats looks quite ok leh, but its sim-card tablet, I kinda looking at wifi tabs only.
Maybe I should wait for nexus 10?

The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 got WiFi only but not available in local, AP set have, made of Exynos instead of Qualcomm for LTE purpose.

Well you can look for Nexus 10 32GB WiFi only AP set, local only have 16GB WiFi. Or wait for next-gen rumor HTC made Nexus 10.
