QUOTE(General_Nic @ Jun 19 2013, 03:29 PM) Her price would need to drop considerably to get thru customs. Plus it's by FREEing, lotsa QC issues, but I guess minor mistakes cant be avoided when we're talking about figures this scale. This post has been edited by Flame Haze: Jun 19 2013, 03:40 PM |

QUOTE(DaSaru @ Jun 19 2013, 02:15 PM) Haha but on the condition that if you can't keep them anymore, must not sell them, but must give them to other people and apply same conditionQUOTE(orestes @ Jun 19 2013, 02:28 PM) I think Danny Choo not qualified to enter.. usually they will have condition like their staff, subsidiaries, partners (which Danny is one) not qualified to enterQUOTE(EXkurogane @ Jun 19 2013, 02:45 PM) Because they do a shit job on them... Not all but many of them. Sculpts are decent for some of them but ends up screwing up the paint job. Hmm the Fault girls are 1/6 though, and some more not loli characters. Hard to find 1/6 that is not loli character went to 6800~7800yen newI did have their Touwa Erio and sold it shortly after. She's beautiful but the paintjob on her hair strands and uniform are uneven. The Fault girls are higher tier figures, comparing to my Erio that i sold, it has ZERO faults, no issues with paint, sculpt, or QC-related problem. This figure alone gave me some confidence about them. Well, it's obvious, 10k+yen figure comparing to popular anime figures that typically go for 6800 to 7800yen... QUOTE(orestes @ Jun 19 2013, 03:00 PM) yeah.. that reminds me .. sometimes ppl avoid figures that are too expensive on shipping.. especially those big boxes that can only go via EMS .. Alaa if the thing you will treasure, extra cost from EMS wouldn't hurt i remember also that VN02 hatsune miku was in bargain bin for 3k+ yen only .. |

DAT ASS
1/6 scale lolipettan @27cm for only 6800yen. Seriously considering one. Colors are a bit too bland though. http://myfigurecollection.net/item/125796 ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by EXkurogane: Jun 19 2013, 04:07 PM |

QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Jun 19 2013, 04:12 PM) Go watch the anime called Manyuu Hikenchou and you'll understand why boobs/non-loli cost more. Both in real life and maybe already applies to figures. I mean new price.. not resale price |

I dont think material is the reason; PVC is cheap. But, the amount of skill involved to carve a female body figure with natural curves and nice boobs compared to an airport runway body. The same explains why ero figures are expensive. It's all about skills of the sculptor.

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Jun 19 2013, 05:01 PM) That explains why many cheaper figures, the paint or sculpt of the hair is terrible. Kotobukiya's Asuna is also bad. Speaking about fantastic hair sculpting, Tohsaka Rin UBW version is a very good example. It's quite complex. |

well yes craftsmanship(painting and sculpting) goes into the price as well but size also has a factor (not much but still got) like the difference between 1/6 and 1/10. and a loli 1/6 is smaller than adult 1/6.
heck even the base can make a price difference. This post has been edited by DaSaru: Jun 19 2013, 05:15 PM |

Scales have no meaning in figures unless they are under the same product series. Alter's 1/7 loli girls from Nanoha are even bigger than 1/6 scale figures. And some of my 1/8 figures are bigger than my 1/7 figures. |
