I have friends where parents dun allow figures because of these superstitions and fengshui excuses; one of them, any figure with 'dangerous pose' or looks like demon, cannot. So, Saber swinging sword also cannot, Dead Master also cannot...  Im from chinese family practising buddhism and fengshui also there is no such bullsh!t..

My mum saw my x-rated figures, didnt say much; she only ask "You like big boobs ah?"

It's Orchid Seed we are talking about - that means a price surge after release and multiple sold outs, and the fact that this is a figure of Queen's Blade's Alleyne increases the risk of price surge further. Most Alleyne figures including the one by Megahouse have gone rare. I dont want to take chances when it comes to Orchid Seed - it will never enter a bargain bin.

This Alleyne is 12,000yen, not including shipping. Im expecting to pay RM 500-550 for her, depends how the exchange rate ends up next year. Too early to predict the price.

The other thing that pissed me off from Hobby search they don't pack shit properly.
When I open the box and saw all the crease and dents all I can say was the f word.
Haven't bought any shit from them over a period of 4 years.

Dear bros. question please. How many category are there in this hobby? So far what i roughly see are:

1. nendroids (tiny figurines..)
2. Figma (with articulation)
3. PVC statue
4. Hot Toys
5. Sculpture

Not touching nendroids and figma because they seems quite small and the articulation are too obvious. PVC and hot toys seems to be the rather porpular choice (presentable) And then there are sculpture (saw a shop in Curve specialized in this) Can anyone share their experience preferance on the above? Would be great to hear more from collectors on their experience in this hobby.

Well in a way, buying one statue a month is like installing a Viva already. Both cost RM300+ a month. Just trying to plan the route ahead so i dont end up having to selling everything away in future cause of lost interest.. Or like most of the sellers in garage because of wifey cannot tahan?

i for one prefer simple bases.

My collection not godlike enuf ... And quite a few (3 or 4 of them) broken figures, like, the base peg. Fortunately they are old figures.
And i kinda regret i didnt keep their boxes in the past. My mum used to complain boxes, but now the total opposite - encourage me to keep boxes so that it is easier to move them if there is renovation in the future.

Nice to see more ppl owning Saeki    I didnt bother to get Date Reiko Wingfield though.

figures that take up a lot of space stays in box for me, like saeki, the GSC 1/7 Saber Lilies, Alter Vortigern, etc
At least the space taken up isnt doubled (by the box and figure separately).

Because they do a shit job on them... Not all but many of them. Sculpts are decent for some of them but ends up screwing up the paint job.
I did have their Touwa Erio and sold it shortly after. She's beautiful but the paintjob on her hair strands and uniform are uneven.

The Fault girls are higher tier figures, comparing to my Erio that i sold, it has ZERO faults, no issues with paint, sculpt, or QC-related problem. This figure alone gave me some confidence about them. Well, it's obvious, 10k+yen figure comparing to popular anime figures that typically go for 6800 to 7800yen...

yeah.. that reminds me .. sometimes ppl avoid figures that are too expensive on shipping.. especially those big boxes that can only go via EMS ..
i remember also that VN02 hatsune miku was in bargain bin for 3k+ yen only ..

Go watch the anime called Manyuu Hikenchou and you'll understand why boobs/non-loli cost more. Both in real life and maybe already applies to figures.
