MTB specific shoes have studs and blocks to dig into the soft ground... does not necessarily mean it is tougher...

there are shoes now with both compatibility which i could not fathom... maybe it is for the fickle minded people...

general rule is to use road shoes with road pedals for a road bike and vice versa... but the law does not stipulate that you must follow strictly or obama will send homeland security to kidnap you and torture you for 10 days and 10 nights so that you spill the beans on why you do such a thing (or at least i think that has never happened before)...

so, do wat you feel like it... as long u dun try to buy road shoes to fit on an MTB pedal... you are generally not screwed...

The obvious to many is it's easier to walk on mtb shoes compared to road shoes but at the same time the main difference between them is the amount of flex it has. Yes, we're no pro and a mtb shoe might be stiff enough for recreational cycling but to really transfer power to the cranks the stiffer the sole/shoe the more direct/instant the transfer is gonna be with minimal loss of power

Boss, my explanation may makes no sense........read on at your own risk.
