This, and perhaps a Galaxy Camera refresh...... doesn't make a lot of sense.

QUOTE(btfan @ Jun 12 2013, 05:22 PM) Haha that's was what I thought until I see others getting 8 hours SOT in other forum. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « We even have a user here who claimed to have gotten 10 hours SOT (https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2646359&view=findpost&p=57278112) QUOTE(((Xa))0102 @ Jun 12 2013, 05:25 PM) IMHO, this user might be able to break the 11h SOT barrier by using the stock browser instead of Chrome to surf the web on WiFi and turned his GPS and music off. Actually waveweaver is a regular here in LYN and he uses his stuff mainly for ebook reading on wifi, so he does get very long SOT. Good dig of the old threads If you see post 11, there are other battery life records as well. I will post your 6+ hrs up shortly. |

QUOTE(danieloo @ Jun 12 2013, 08:49 PM) Just got my Note 2 this morning. Plug on my digi sim with data plan inside. Works well when testing it. But, when get back to office at Jalan Sultan Ismail, the data kept drop out whenever I want to use. Welcome. Please add yourself via the form in post 4.Just back from Digi center, they told me, today there's upgrade service of 4G at this area. So have to bare with the intermittent data drop. Just want to check, anyone here face such problem before with device problem? Does changing of the sim module as recommended by Benny solve the problem? Take a read of page 1 if you haven't already. You are experiencing a telco problem, and they also told you why, so it's not a hardware issue. |

Life is really interesting in the future ......
http://www.phonearena.com/news/Your-shorts...rtphone_id43978 ![]() Power Shorts (L) and the Recharge Sleeping Bag both use kinetic energy to charge your phone Your shorts and sleeping bag can now both recharge your smartphone Imagine being able to recharge your phone simply by sticking it in your back pocket and walking; now imagine that you're taking a camping trip and you don't own a generator, but you wake up every morning with a fully recharged smartphone because of your sleeping bag. Vodafone is testing both in the U.K. during the Isle of Wright festival that runs from this Thursday until Sunday in Britain.. gin&tonic botakbin isn't that a very nice way to charge your devices? |

QUOTE(nehalem176 @ Jun 12 2013, 10:04 PM) Try to identify your unwanted wakelock and minimize your alarm wake up. Leave your phone idle 4hrs or more than that (you will get accurate reading BBS dumpfile) then check what's on your highest partial wakelock. Important, check your alarm and network as well. KWL nothing much you can do unless you know how to tweak your kernel such wake up threshold but please know what you're doing with tweak setting (battery life>stability>performance). Thank you for clarification. Will add your post to post 8 under Wakelocks. Good and short summary. Three known cause that will shorten your battery life 1. Mobile data 2. Screen brightness 3. Scheduling / sync setting Unwanted battery drain : 1. Bad app(s) example IM or Monitoring app for instance, keep awake your phone (this may be vary, depend how well / good developer build that app). |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 12 2013, 10:17 PM) Well since it's hibernating, it is "off" and won't receive calls. But if the other party has viber as well and is connected to your viber phonebook, then an sms from that party will wake your viber and show you missed calls from viber.I will test and run viber and see what happens now. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jun 12 2013, 10:41 PM) Since i got a yoobao 13000 MAH i dont bother about battery life. I prefer the nice clean lines of the 11000 Yoobao, and I found out that the 11k unit stops all lights when it detects it is fully charged, whereas the 13k unit keeps the lights on....does yours behave the same?below 40% i charge from powerbank in car use car charger settle |

QUOTE(((Xa))0102 @ Jun 12 2013, 11:05 PM) I own the Papago M9 for both Android and iOS (which proves i'm a loyal fan of PPG) That's the thing about software...it depends on the license clause and company policy. I suspect the answer is no but no harm trying. You think if I email Papago, will they allow me to upgrade to M11 for free? |

QUOTE(hooh888 @ Jun 12 2013, 11:18 PM) Well do you use waze to navigate or only for traffic-avoiding purposes? Encountered any problems with navigation on waze? Because when i use it, when the road ahead is split whereby one is a flyover, another isn't, so it just tells me to go straight lol. This is why i prefer papago but quite pricey so didn't buy it for my note 2. Wonder if anyone can solve my problem on waze though. Wait 6 months for the Google integration to happen. Then again my paranoia will say it just makes it easier for a drone to target u hahahaha. |
