IMHO, this falls under wear and tear. My personal recommendation to you and everybody else is, please go and get a PROPER casing that covers the ENTIRE bezel.

FYI "the chrome part" is called the bezel.

Even that stalwart of slim nakedness, alexng2208 has admitted to a chip on the top bezel due to a fall, which was not enclosed by his semi naked top and bottom bezel back cover.

i would sacrifice some wear and tear showing for the sake of slimness and beauty...

instead of torturing myself with carrying a rubber brick LOL cool2.gif

Hello. Traded in my previous second hand water damaged, warranty voided note 2 for a new one.
Quick question. The retailer have yet to register the e warranty. Is it a good thing or a bad thing?
Will I be able to prolong the warranty period? Confused. rclxub.gif

Edit: I can't seem to find any other suitable phone after using the Note 2. I guess it's true of what they say, "once u go big, u'll never go back"....

opsss...I mean the files in sdcard\WhatssApp\Databases...those files never get backed up with tibu

btw...I do see my whatsapp messages on some contact dating to 2011.

TiBu doesnt backup the media which you received or sent out. All the chat history are well backup. So if any media or file its better backup separately via es file explorer.

Yep, after getting the Note2, only something equally big or bigger can take its place, and not forgetting the S-pen smile.gif

EDIT: How did it get water damaged?

Eh what are you doing so late tonight. You need to work tomorrow.

I saw someone posted in one of the other threads that Viewnet in LYP has the Samsung.

That "secril_something" ? After your post, it got discussed quite extensively last night and also led to me finding out some omission in Assassin ROM which the dev is now looking into.

Calls "cost" more than SMS .... and they will have one hell of a time adjusting their billing system for all the free calls ...... not to mention revenue report.

yeah..
the problem was with calls but they compensate with free SMS sweat.gif
Just another gesture to avoid too many customer complains.
Pretty sure MCMC will fine them heftily again this year laugh.gif

I have come back to Note 2 from S4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2325983

I got my S4 on day of release, and have just, yesterday, swapped it back for a Note 2 (plus cash).

I had a Note 2 before the S4 and I liked the size of the screen etc.

I was impressed with the S4, but after a while I noticed a few things that actually annoyed me intensely with it.

Battery life is awful. It would last only around 5 hours, and that was not doing a lot, and would drop from 100% to around <10% in such a short time.

The heat issues the S4 have are incredible, especially when charging. I actually wondered if one day the thing would burst in to flames.

It would be uncomfortable to hold at times, especially on a warm day. It seemed to exacerbate the problem.

Another thing, the screen in direct sunlight. Even though it would be set at the highest brightness, it still would not be bright enough, and because it would get warm, it would dim the display more to "save it"

I guess that's AMOLED for ya.

The Note 2 I have now, I got it at around 12 pm yesterday, and after setting it all up how I like it, programs, themes etc, after around 5 hours unplugged, it had only used around 16%. That was after messing with it a lot. Had that been the S4 it would be way down almost out of action and I'd have to charge it again.

So, I'm sad to say, I only had the S4 for 23 days.....

The S4 looks and feels nice in the hand, has some nice features, but I have to say, the Note 2 does it for me due to battery life.

In today’s episode, XDA Developer TV Jayce talks about women and coding. Jayce interviews Heather Paynce, Founder of LadiesLearningCode.com and Co-Founder of HackerYou.com. Heather talks about her experience with code and the industry. Find out what he has to say and check out this video.

the battery comments are really true.

i charged until full at 9am, i went out with friends, with non-stop viber, photos shooting, editing pics with s-pen, checking facebook, watching youtube, etc. when i was back home at 6pm, i still have around 38%.
i feel safe already with my note 2 battery which is huge and this lasting.
