Are you working there? Can share on the flexi working hour how it works?
Does the job requires travelling?
What about working pressure, does it need to work O.T. and always available/on call considering it's bank related.

Hi. Can anyone comment how flexible they are in terms of the working hours and also the work from home scheme, i.e. do they only allow once a week working from home etc?

Any other benefits ?

Ahh my apologies I may look like a HR person here promoting SWIFT earlier lol. I am working in swift now.. Since they first open in March last year.

Firstly allow me to clarify that swift is indeed desperate. Desperate for good candidates. You won't believe how many ppl has failed the interviews here hence why swift keeps advertising. Turn over rate? Only 2 person has resigned so far. One is a freshie who got a better offer outside and one lady who follows her husband to singapore. We expanded from 30 ppl to close to 100 now.. Swift KL is expanding really fast.. That is why you see a lot of vacancies.. But there hasn't been the same position being advertised repeatedly.. They are all new positions smile.gif

Ok don't wanna sound too butthurt ppl saying negative stuff abt my company tongue.gif

I am in IT department and my team is awesome. I can't say abt other teams since there are a lot of other IT teams.. Development team for diff products. There are also the finance team, support, sales, KYC etc.

Workload? Evenly balanced.. We use agile scrum methodology.. Sprints for every two weeks so we plan the workload for every two weeks based on your availability and the task priorities. We have short meetup in the mornings to catch up with the team.. If there are any blocking issues etc.

Stressful? Not really.. You do your job well, you deliver, you communicate to the team in KL & overseas stakeholders.. Again, these are all my take on my team ya.. Maybe other teams has diff workload levels..

Flexible? How flexible? During probation we come to work 9 to 530 pm. Yes, swift working hrs is 7.5 per day instead of your normal 8hr per day.. After probation you can choose your own schedule.. As long as per week you work enough hours.. Like for some we work extra an hour per day, and on Fridays we work half day.. Whatever is it, all must be agreed by your manager.

Working from home is 2 days per week.. But you must be in office at least 3 days per week. So if got cuti in that week, you probably can't work frm home cos not enough 3 days being present in office.

Traveling? Some of us get to go to Belgium, US, HK.. Based on what ur jobscope, who ur stakeholders are.. How frequent? Not so lah.. Once or twice a year maybe.. Maybe never..

The office environment here is syiok jugak lah.. Open seating.. Pantry stocked with snacks, milo, kopi, bread, nutella peanut butter yadayada.. Fridge full with soft drinks, juice, milk, cheese, fruits.. Ok must stop here tongue.gif
Got Xbox, board games, activities organized by committees etc.

Here we are mixed ppl from multi countries, multi faith, multi race. The management puts effort in keeping us as a team.. Not an easy task with the rate of the company growing.. Lots of newcomers every month.. Even I also tak kenal all of them. Very different from when we first joined the company. Everyone knows everybody smile.gif

Penat jari type using phone. Hope this helps! Don't judge us yet before you come here to our office, meet us, go through the interview etc. Maybe you'll like us, maybe we won't be your cup of tea who knows. Hope anyone who has been to the interviews can share your experience here too! Would be great to hear what you feel about us.

I think I answered some of ur qs above.. As for OT.. I'm not sure.. I don't think we have OT.. Not many people stay back for long hours here except i think the finance peeps. Some stays back if they have conf calls with the overseas stakeholders etc.. But u can always join from home anyways..

Always on call.. Don't think so.. We do have outsourced support team who works on shifts. It really depends on which team you join.. Maybe some teams do have it but I'm really not sure. It's a no no for my team, that one I can confirm hehe

Position that I've applied for Associate Business Analyst (Business Intelligence) (Finance & Accounting)

There are 3 stages of interview

1. Senior HR
2. Hiring Manager
3. Hiring Manager (HQ) (Belgium)

The first is to deliver more about yourself by understanding the job scope. I tend to ask regarding the career path of Associate Business Analyst (Business Intelligence), however this question which will be answered on Stage 2.

So far on the stage 1 is to show your confidence about yourself and especially on the job description.

I would say that I'm lucky enough that HR ask me to schedule for the 2nd stage interview.

The company environment is open community with hot desk concepts, means where u can sit wherever u want.

Probation is about 6 months, once passed, you get to work from home (as mentioned above) and it's subject for approval.

for public transports users, no worries, there is a link bridge from Kerinchi LRT station to Bangsar South smile.gif

Nodee, anything to add on? biggrin.gif

the most significant benefits is work from home, i think it depends on the job scope as well.

benefits more or less is similar with all companies out there, assume it as standard, medical, insurance, etc.

i do more concern about the job description and career path.

Sorry Paul just read ur post! Nothing to add on.. already shared whats there to be shared hehe.

Benefits here are so-so only.. I've heard of worse benefits.. also had worked in another company whose benefit is 90% better than SWIFT's..

Annual leave 18 not including gazetted leave.. gazetted leave are added to your AL.. meaning PH that falls on weekends. So each year at least 20 days cuti la I would say.. the AL will be increased after working for a few years with swift.

Got maternity coverage, dental, vision, inpatient, outpatient - the normal ones.. if you need to know the specific amount can PM me..

SWIFT gives us a sort of a gift after our first year anniversary working here. They allocate RM2000 per year to claim for certain things like parents' medical, alternative medicine, your phone bill, internet bill, gym or other club membership etc. etc.

My favorite benefit is of course working from home and the flexi hours smile.gif ohhhh and the free food stock in the pantry haha

Cannot disclose about bonus.. but the bonus enough to make me happy la but note that I never worked in any company which gives out bonuses haha of course la happy kan.. increment was good enough for me too..

As for promotion, this is not easyly given here at SWIFT. Looking at how long and how GOOD the overseas (and some local) staff took to get promoted, I wouldn't be surprised if I ever get promoted lol. But as long as I get the bonus and increment according to my performance, I'm a happy kid already.

Updates on my application for Business Analyst ( Business Intelligence).

There are total 3 rounds of interviews

Managed to complete the 3rd round which is video conference to Belgium.

As the matter of result, it takes so long and time wasting, probably around 2 weeks.

After the 3rd round interview (before Raya), HR told me to wait for 1-2 weeks, in the end, I all in on swift and did not find other opportunities.

And today, got replied from swift. *heartbroken*

anyone is from the IT department?
just got an offer from Swift working under IT dept as DBA.
Can tell me how's the ppl in IT dept?
Do they really track your time in and time out during probation?

Basically this is just my experience on the interview process which just happened few weeks back.

1st interview
i) interview with senior HR
ii) Sit for an exam

2nd interview (if the 1st interview is successful)
i) interview with Hiring Manager
ii) interview with the HQ(Belgium)

If you get an offer, then you know you have pass the 2nd interview and welcome to Swift. smile.gif

I've attended an interview at SWIFT last year for an IT position and failed during first round. Can see that the standard required there is quite high.
Congratulations to those hired.

p/s: the HRs have quite unusual way in 'measuring' candidate's personality (apart from the technical test). My colleague went interviewed there and share quite similar impression too(of course he failed too)...

Interview as in there would be Q&A section and also if the hiring manager doesn't feel that you are the right candidate, then you are out.
I would say, overall is a typical interview/hiring process that you would get from other companies as well.
Nothing special except that you would get the live video conferencing with the HQ(belgium ppl) on the 2nd interview.

I just went to the 2nd interview yesterday for the position of Java Programmer, i was unfortunately not a writen test as i been expected, but rather a verbal question about soe theory in Java, pretty difficult to answer, their expectation quite high though, I really dont think im successfull for the interview, *finger crossed*, Good Luck to those who will walk in for interview @ Swift :D

I also went for the 2nd interview with the hiring manager only, not with the live conference. How about you? How long will we know if we passed the 2nd interview?

As for me,

1st interview is with HR (normal HR questions)
2nd interview is with the technical manager (technical questions about Java)
3rd interview is with the hiring manager from Belgium (mixed of HR and technical questions)

Right now, I am waiting for the feedback. By the way, I applied for Java role. How about you?

My experience I have the first interview around 1 week after online application,
From 1st interview to 2nd interview - 1 to 2 weeks

and i dont get the call for the 3rd interview, after about 2 days now,

so I think Im not successful for the Swift vacancy,
I will try to apply with other companies in a short while,
but maybe not to much as i take lots of leave already this month.

haha, *finger cross*, I apply for the Junior, I just have one year experience in the industry, plus the whole year i am in mobile app engineering team, so in the technical iv i was seems not know much about some of the tools they use, e.g. Oracle db integration n stuff, but i kinda show how much i would love to learn, but anyway it's interesting iv i have, as the interviewer quite exposing some of important frameworks and design pattern that i should dig into. Swift is an interesting company anyway, but my age itself set me aside lol, most of them are quite in middle age and experienced,

btw, all the best, i hope u get a call soon biggrin.gif

SWIFT is indeed a very good company: Good culture, work-life balance, friendly colleagues and nice working environment!
SWIFT is now actively hiring especially in the IT fields (Java, C++, SAP; Junior, Senior, Manager roles) due to its expansion on existing teams and also creating new teams in KL office.

For those who are still awaiting for the interview, I wish you all the best.

Congratulations to those who had been confirmed and offered.

I did for SAP ABAP but not Java, and it is subjective, no multiple choices. Probably the same for Java..

Hi nodee and everyone else ! smile.gif

I just got offered by SWIFT as a Junior Associate System Developer as a fresh grad. They offered a base salary of ~3k per month plus some good insurance+social benefits. I have no complains about the benefits but the base salary seems to be on the lower side of KL standard.

I had offers from other MNC companies for ~4k per month with some basic insurance coverage (good enough if you dont get hit by a car on a monthly basis lol.gif). But I really like SWIFT for their environment and values and was wondering how far is the base salary negotiable??

Anyway your input is very appreciated biggrin.gif

Fusionex is a local based mnc that pays 4k for nonshitty new grads, so it's not that rare. But you can read their glassdoor reviews to see their work life balance. Swift's salary ranges are pretty much above 4k or 4.5k -8k ranges, so I find it odd to see 3k if it's the case.

I know right? I was under the impression they liked my profile (not perfectly but ok I'm willing to learn).

Anyway do you know about SWIFT personally or through friends? Did they get the same thing when they applied?

thanks dude!! but actually i did a very specialized IT Masters in a prestigious school overseas smile.gif (results sucked tho haha)... most of the standard developers markets (JAVA/C#) are highly competitive and the companies are taking in alot of Indian nationals for technical stuffs and angmo for management stuffs (saves costs)... Malaysians really need to step up their game to compete...

I applied for a Java role...
1) HR + technical test on Monday
2) Technical interview on Tuesday

They called on Tuesday night to make an offer... As you can see from the comments some process are quite long and some are freaking short! I thinks it all depends on who's available at the office to interview you, and I was lucky my interviewers were available on such short notice lol...

SWIFT and sending SWIFT message is secure. Nothing to wonder.

The bangladesh central bank was just trying to SWIFT half the blame to SWIFT so they don't look too bad for missing 81m and potential billions.

any SWIFT-ians can share their experience on getting hired by the company? I'm curious to know when it is actually one will get hired..

I've gone thru
1. hr interview and test
2. technical manager interview
3. receive work proposal
4. filling up employment document & background check (current)

i know that having offer letter signed and submitted is the ultimate confirmation, but what i want to know is what stage am i now, since there is no softcopy/hardcopy offer letter yet sent to me.. Is it being presented on my first day?

i'm having this question because i was proposed to work close to end of the year, yes, my first day is during that time, and i want to know if i need to worry that there is a chance after going through what ive gone through, i might be turned off. because if that's the case, i need a backup plan

You are filling in the vetting form already which is good.
After you send that i believe recruiter will set up another meeting with you to sign offer letter smile.gif

Hows the work culture in Swift Now 2016? Hows the yearly increment and bonus there.

work culture is good . you can wear casual shirt and jeans and sneakers . you can come early and back home early , depends on your team lead .

No worries , the environment not stress like Scope International. That i can promise you .

you might able to go to Belgium for training and business trip if your department allows you to do so .

increment and bonuses ..it depends on you performance evaluation which they will conduct every 6 months ( if i'm not mistaken )

It's ok we've had people who managed to join SWIFT after several applications too! Probably there'll be a more suitable position for you in future? Or you can level up your skills now and re-apply again? Good luck!!

aha great , maybe you are one of the early swift joiner while they opened first office here in KL .

now i know why turnover rate in swift is very low .

because of these benefits .

i heard some employees ask for child care allowance ,since it would be delighted for some of the swift parents .

the drawback is ... salary wise .

you unable to get salary to be match with your job role .

This place no difference from BT, Comptel or Experian. Hire, fire whenever can get cheaper slaves...

SCRUM is the best mgmt tool all this so call MNC uses with daily meeting summon, 1 to 1 interrogation until another cheap slave comes by...

For those who interested to work with an MNC like SWIFT, I suggest you don't listen to anyone here, but head to their office with your resume.
Go there and experience yourself the working environment.

It is your career, who else would care so much for you?
Don't forget, there is lots of people don't want you to know how good is SWIFT, just as there are some people want you to have the best of SWIFT.
You just have to find your own way.

There is good and bad Lowyat member here.

2. How one experience their life totally depends on how their think. So, if one people says that company is bad, that doesn't mean anything to you, it is just that that person sees thing differently from you.

My final word is - "Go there and find out yourself" - other can't tell at all.

I think those who got no job, then is ok to gamble with such company who adopt "hire/fire" policy. For those already with stable job, if you jump ship just for the extra dollars then think carefully. And for those who ask for exceptionally below market rate also alright to join such "hire/fire" company as nobody can be cheaper then you.

an advice from me , if you are hired as consultant or contractor.

if you are an IT engineer , please go for professional certifications e.g MCSE , RHCE,LPI,CISSP and so on ..

if you had these certification(s) , please renew it if expired.

because this is the time you guys should upgrade yourself . there was too many job offers but the firm would to see evidence like these.

people nowadays are brilliant , they would able to pass the interview , and demonstrate their knowledge merely by mouth story and assumptions.

but if you had these pro certs , you are in another level .

unless the firm offers you below than it should be . like RHCE certified or CISSP certified , but you just getting below 10k wages . that is not fair .

like

RHCE certified (with experience 10 years) , minimum you should get = RM 11k . Max ? can be above 20k , if you can demonstrate new tech , like cgroups , virtualizations etc
CISSP certified (with experience 10 years) , minimum you should get = RM 15k. Max ? can be above 25k , if you can demonstrate diff tech , like ransomware, malware , intrusion detection etc

I believe it is their standard of work for both HR and learning Dept.

QUOTE(nearly @ Nov 14 2016, 05:39 PM)
to those who plan to apply jobs at swift, u need to have godlike patience and be prepared to wait for a very very long time before u can actualy start work (assuming u pass everything, interviews etc)

i am jobless since july and i applied for swift few months ago (yes few months ago) and i gotta say this is by far one of the worst job hunting experience for me, its just taking forever just to get employed by swift

heres a summary of my experience

1) sent the application in early august after saw the job ad in jobstreet (yes that was more than 3 months ago dry.gif )

2) they replied in mid of september (took them more than 1 month to respond, i was abit blur and surprised and hav to recall that i actualy sent my application to them)

3) 1st interview began on mid of september, passed all rounds but 3 rounds of interviews took 1 month (they only called 3 weeks after the 1st interview  doh.gif ), last interview is on mid of october

4) passed all interview and got the verbal offer few days after the 3rd interview, around mid of october too, they say hav to go thru background checks and wait for offer letter

5) until now mid of november (after 1 month), still no offer letter doh.gif , wait and wait and wait, emails to them go unresponded, dont even know what is happening
so there u go, 3+ months since i applied for the job and till today still no offer letter and thrs no follow up on their side, just taking their own sweet time, come on swift, pls be more efficient, u cannot b expecting a jobless person to wait for so long, i already waited for 3+ months for this swift job and even rejected a few job offers just to work for swift, and here i am nw blindly waiting for the offer frm swift that never comes doh.gif
*
If you told them that you have another job offer pending. They would not have done this to you in the first place.

I can see lots of ppl here are very excited to join the company, But, i have to let u guys know the fact that the company make a good offer and benefits, does not mean the team manager or HR are good. If you guys manage to join a good team, less issue, it will be the best, congrats.... But i would say don't get over excited, even you have got the offer, and you think good life is coming soon. i never put any excitement to join any companies ..unless they offer me something i cannot refused (like USD 5k salary minimum, travel to the site offices 50% of the month , multiple perks and so forth)

i'll put it this way :

1. some people took the offer because they don't have the choice . Yes , some of my colleagues did that .

2. some people took it because they don't want to be bored at home . Money is not main issues here . he/she knows how to make money as their 2nd or 3rd source of income . And they will never ever put comfort zone as their main reason to stay . they will jump out the ship once he/she done .

3. some people took the job because they prepare for something else , like next interview with big 4 ( Facebook,Google,Amazon,Tesla) . And again this is not about the money . It is all about putting themselves among the best in any of that big 4 .

swift already considered very good ledi if compared to other companies, if ppl working in swift still complain bout swift then they clearly never seen worse companies before, no company is perfect and overall swift is really very good ledi, dis is not google or facebook or microsoft, if u wan perfect company then go join those companies instead (provided you are good enuf to get into those companies)

SWIFT is the international company that manages cross-border banking transactions.

It is a good place to work, with MNC benefits.

swift already considered very good ledi if compared to other companies, if ppl working in swift still complain bout swift then they clearly never seen worse companies before, no company is perfect and overall swift is really very good ledi, dis is not google or facebook or microsoft, if u wan perfect company then go join those companies instead (provided you are good enuf to get into those companies)
*
Yup .. i can say they provided good benefits and perks. But some people eager to see what Swift can offer beyond than that.

I never like office politics since it is totally not a good way to climb up to the top level.

Like technical people.. they plan...they execute...they deliver. That's it.

Like leaders ..they observe .. they facilitate ..they assist . That's it.

Like managers.. they hear..they see..they act . That's it.

No need dumb politics to climb the pyramid. Results do tell.

one of my friend working in swift comments that swift always rejected high qualification ppl because they are not afford to pay them. In the end, the candidate who is being selected don't have much skills. This is the real case happened in few teams.

i can't agree more on this . this is happening on all organisations , in Malaysia.

They were unable to pay high salary up to candidate expectations , but they will adjust it with benefits and perks ... which a trap for them . Why it is trap ? please google to find out why .

That's the reason why most of candidates tend to find work out of here .

they can get better offer and career path and those stuff....even they can save a few thousands of EURO or USD from abroad for their family back here.

Here ? i raise my case . you knew it already .

Yeah this is why most of the high qualification candidate won't join this company. If you are selected to join swift, don't so happy, most probably the salary they offer you is below market price. biggrin.gif

Keep hiring non stop meaning finding cheaper slaves from the market to replace their existing employees.

Mean they probably practicing "churn and burn" management tactics.

They will probably make use of some kind of so call mgmt methodology to remove their existing employees to be replace by cheaper one.

Yes..i cannot agree more on this.

We , salary people, already aware in this.

Thus..re-skilling and adopt/learn new tech is a must/compulsory..so the affected employee(s) will be prepared..mentally and physically

Even me myself thinking to register for online courseware with MIT for computer science . You know..problem solving is not all about programming.. it is the art of how we solve the problem. Not a problem.

first you have to understand why they opened their office here in KL . not just swift , but every companies that set up here in KL.

secondly , retrenchment would not be affected here in KL , at least for now . Currently all around the world were in the midst of bringing down numbers of employee to reduce the cost (like pensions,re-skilling,perks and benefits) . some companies need to achieve target to employ 1-5 new talents every month .like in other European country , their target is to reduce at least -5 existing employees

For example , can you imagine if we (senior level) could receive the same benefit from Europe (like company car that can be replace every 4-5 years , including maintenance , gas , tyres and so forth) ? I bet you wont , unless you are good . sorry not "good" , But , damned good .

how to survive in this wave ? i have told in my prior post. Re-skilling . learn new tech , be certified on something (AWS,RHCE,ISQTB, and so forth)

even me myself have to re-learn about problem solving foundation via online courseware in edX.org.

so , i could stay valued in the company . Else i can move on without any heartbreak.

hmm for this part , i would like to advise you to re-look at my post here

put this in your mind , tightly :-

Reminiscing those times... job offers, increment, adjustments were based on X% of last salary. It plays well with the employers until they found out they can't beat the market especially when talents keep thinning through attrition.

yes , even Swift unable to beat market . they have to do some technique to allure the candidate and the art of persuasion, by giving them so-called work life balance , benefits and perks , travel to the parent company every year. Yes , it works , especially for newbies and fresh grads. But not for experienced professional who worked 10-15 years as they seen already the pro/cons on their salary increment and career advancement.

imagine the candidate who received salary like around 20k per month , in ringgit. after several vetting process , yes he was received that chunk of money on his prior employer . but the potential employer unable to pay because it is HR to make the call. They have to offer around 10k only which is quite unsatisfied. Why?

Because they need to control this . They unable to beat the global market . usually 20k is for somebody working as country manager. Even Head or department should not getting that figure.

i have advised my colleague who's already achieved that salary ceiling ..to spread his wing to another country , and from there , he will know what is "sky is the limit" all about.

all i can say is, i got a pretty good offer frm swift n i oni hav a few years of experience. im still a long way frm the 10-15 years experience, so i will hav to see after 10 years of working and see how it goes

but for nw, swift is already very good if compared to others, many companies that used to be good last time hav gone bad now due to change in management. Experian hav turned bad, Quintiq hav turned bad (they used to hav very good reviews last time, but not anymore) while for swift, its still good here. i hav asked many seniors and old timers how is swift and all of them say its good n they hav no complains. the first batch of swifters, most of them are still here today

for the salary part, mayb u are right, swift cannot pay high salary/career advancement for very experience staffs. but for juniors and seniors like me, the salary is above market average and by the time i hav 10 years experience, mayb i will plan to leave swift and join other companies, rarely ppl will stay in a company until they retire. if a better offer comes, of course i will take it smile.gif

Can you share what is the average salary increment % for this company?

Also there is the performance bonus. How much in average can one look at?

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

I've found this thread quite useful regarding SWIFT interview process. Recently I've applied for Data warehouse developer position and gone through 5 round of test so far -

1) Written test - technical
2) HR
3) Hiring Manager
4) Product Team from Belgium HQ
5) Backend Lead From Belgium HQ

After stage 3 HR has confirmed me that I've selected for the position, since there are couple of position availavle they want to discuss more about my skills so that they have arranged 2 more session with HQ team. I've tried to reach HR, so far no response from there. Anyone have such experience get rejected after so many round or how long they took usually to release the offer letter or are they informed back to the applicant if they not been selected?

Thanks

Appreciate if anyone can share their experience with Swift KL.

What KL office do? Do they directly serve belgium HQ, or local/Asian clients?
Development team work cross country on single product?
Midnight conference with HQ office?

QUOTE(nodee @ Jun 17 2014, 12:52 PM)

Yes, at least better than my current one.

I am sure there are many more companies offering better benefits and terms depending on what job seekers looking and prioritise more.

For me, I am really happy with the benefits offered and am very excited to join them soon!

The interview process, thankfully was a bliss and rather a quick one, in term of waiting time for the outcome.

This company slowly turning into a pile of shit hole.

If you work under Finance and Business Operation.

Good luck ! they hire annoying-micromanaging person to manage the umbrella.

I guess HR just want to close position. Instead of hiring good people they hiring stage 4 cancer and spreading around the company like a wildfire.

Another way to improve your level in swift. Lick other people ass probably you will get the position you want.

this is something i dont like when talk about people management .

please stick to the objectives that we already stated during one-to-one with the manager and you will be doing fine .

else you can escalate that to your manager or manager+1 if you fell daunting of what other department to you during task execution.

if they dont like it , means they aren't professional enough.

sad but true.

Selamat Ramadhan and Happy Wednesday everyone smile.gif

Working experience in Swift - so far so good! Sitting near the window helps when I have to stare at three monitors interchangeably 5/7 days a week lol 😂😂😂 but all is good, in fact working anywhere, or everywhere, it's the same. Have gratitude, give your very best before expecting the best for yourself and you ll be in the right direction!

Good luck everyone! P/s: halo to all seniors and buddies!

Good luck for the technical test.

Might be more into requirement gathering for projects related to security.

Some secure coding and programming.

Again. Good luck.

Thanks for advice before.
Just want to update, I've took the test yesterday for Security Requirement Engineer post.
Test consists of 2 parts (12 subjective question, 3 coding - 2 java,1 C)
Below are the questions.

1.describe stuxnet in 3 paragraph
2. what is ike.how to configure to make it secure
3. what is owasp.
4. explain mitm attack in ssl
5.what is diffee hellman
6.suggest check for prehired and already hired staff
7. diff between attack surface and attack vector
8.use case vs mis-use case in project requirement
9.what is sql injection.how to prevent it.
10.security mgmt challenge in agile/scrum. compare it with waterfall.
11. diff between side attack and brute force attack.
12.what is x509. why it is so important.

The coding part, is give you code snippet, and ask which line that have security vulnerabilities, and what is it?

Hopefully, this might helping someone. smile.gif

I was excited as u guys before too. Good luck to all.

Working in SWIFT is so far a terrible experience. HR people are not nice. Cannot talk to them because they very close to managers and yoi feel unsafe to just try get advice or career. But they dont have career development anyway for employees, always just hire outside. Anyhow need to leave la, if not go to work frustrated everyday.

The management always think they do the best, but no la, they only care from themselves.

Hr frd with manager - cannot talk to them
Manager care only themselves - cannot talk to them too
Suggest anything - normally you dont get good return

Anyhow HR and management need to step up not on recruitment, but how to prevent attrition and how to prevent employee from having bad feeling. Currently they do terrible

I always feel sorry for recruitment team, have to hire so many replacements.

#1 reason why managers fail: inability or inaptitude in retaining top talent.

Many bosses have this attitude that anyone is replaceable easily like gloves, that they can hire someone even better. They are fooling themselves, and do disservice to their company. A good employee has knowledge of systems , products and processes. They have trust relationships with clients and co-workers that takes years to build. When you lose a good employee, you lose part of your culture. You lose part of your company. And you may lose your own future.

I think we could raise this concern to HRBP instead.

Most of the team managers only know how to talk, do something to show the "visibility" to the big boss, but actually useless yet getting high pay. I am not commenting SWIFT particularly, but most of the MNC companies.

Sadly this is true.. sucks to be in a team with this kinda managers but sucks more to be someone who has this type of manager yet still stays with the same team/company and continue on complaining.

Can't say hows swift is today on behalf of all swifters since its obvious there are really unhappy ppl here and some somewhat happy ppl too lol. SWIFT is currently going through the Agile transformation, moving into tribes, squads, re-assigning product ownership etc. So new roles are being created, agile coaches, chapter leads, product managers etc in KL. Changes like these of course will receive mixed reactions from the employees. Ensure you have the right mindset before joining swift, and ready to adapt to changes smile.gif

True.. this is why I always ask the hiring manager the turnover rate of the team during interviews. I'll ask if the team is happy, has good relationship which other, supportive and helpful or not etc. Usually managers with great team has no problem answering this as this is kind of an achievement for the manager, to be able to keep the team happy. I've had interviews with managers saying things like 'it is normal ppl leave the team' or 'impossible to keep everyone happy' which I know are true but you can sense in the way they say it, whether they are annoyed/pessimistic by it or if they are saying it because they are happy that ppl are growing and pursuing/progressing their own career path.

Some employees quit due to no future for them to stay.
Company had direction to use on premise solution instead of cloud or container platform.

Some employees quit due to boss issues.
I don't need to elaborate more. You know it, i know it.

Some employees quit due to money issue.
Like devops could get rm 15k outside, but company tend to give 50% below. HR issue .

P/s this is general view from my side. My comment are my own.

Depends on

how many tools u familiar with,
projects that u involved in and,
how deep u understand on both operations and development.
