I can see lots of ppl here are very excited to join the company, But, i have to let u guys know the fact that the company make a good offer and benefits, does not mean the team manager or HR are good. If you guys manage to join a good team, less issue, it will be the best, congrats.... But i would say don't get over excited, even you have got the offer, and you think good life is coming soon. I was excited as u guys before too. Good luck to all.

Working in SWIFT is so far a terrible experience. HR people are not nice. Cannot talk to them because they very close to managers and yoi feel unsafe to just try get advice or career. But they dont have career development anyway for employees, always just hire outside. Anyhow need to leave la, if not go to work frustrated everyday.

The management always think they do the best, but no la, they only care from themselves.

Hr frd with manager - cannot talk to them
Manager care only themselves - cannot talk to them too
Suggest anything - normally you dont get good return

Anyhow HR and management need to step up not on recruitment, but how to prevent attrition and how to prevent employee from having bad feeling. Currently they do terrible

I always feel sorry for recruitment team, have to hire so many replacements.

#1 reason why managers fail: inability or inaptitude in retaining top talent.

Many bosses have this attitude that anyone is replaceable easily like gloves, that they can hire someone even better. They are fooling themselves, and do disservice to their company. A good employee has knowledge of systems , products and processes. They have trust relationships with clients and co-workers that takes years to build. When you lose a good employee, you lose part of your culture. You lose part of your company. And you may lose your own future.

I think we could raise this concern to HRBP instead.

Most of the team managers only know how to talk, do something to show the "visibility" to the big boss, but actually useless yet getting high pay. I am not commenting SWIFT particularly, but most of the MNC companies.

Raise concern to HR ? They don't bother to help one. Don't be naive.

Sadly this is true.. sucks to be in a team with this kinda managers but sucks more to be someone who has this type of manager yet still stays with the same team/company and continue on complaining.

Can't say hows swift is today on behalf of all swifters since its obvious there are really unhappy ppl here and some somewhat happy ppl too lol. SWIFT is currently going through the Agile transformation, moving into tribes, squads, re-assigning product ownership etc. So new roles are being created, agile coaches, chapter leads, product managers etc in KL. Changes like these of course will receive mixed reactions from the employees. Ensure you have the right mindset before joining swift, and ready to adapt to changes smile.gif

True.. this is why I always ask the hiring manager the turnover rate of the team during interviews. I'll ask if the team is happy, has good relationship which other, supportive and helpful or not etc. Usually managers with great team has no problem answering this as this is kind of an achievement for the manager, to be able to keep the team happy. I've had interviews with managers saying things like 'it is normal ppl leave the team' or 'impossible to keep everyone happy' which I know are true but you can sense in the way they say it, whether they are annoyed/pessimistic by it or if they are saying it because they are happy that ppl are growing and pursuing/progressing their own career path.

Some employees quit due to no future for them to stay.
Company had direction to use on premise solution instead of cloud or container platform.

Some employees quit due to boss issues.
I don't need to elaborate more. You know it, i know it.

Some employees quit due to money issue.
Like devops could get rm 15k outside, but company tend to give 50% below. HR issue .

P/s this is general view from my side. My comment are my own.

Depends on

how many tools u familiar with,
projects that u involved in and,
how deep u understand on both operations and development.
