seriously you are asking too much for a max budget of RM1500. if you want those spec you will be left out with no CHASSIS and GPU.

and this below can run almost all games but not at all high setting. it should be good with your budget

CORE I3 4130 1150 3.40 3MB RM359
ASROCK H81M-DGS 1150 VSGL RM179
4GB PC1600 8 chips D3 RM110
SAPPHIRE 7770 1GB D5 128 RM349
500GB SATA 3 RM159
DVD-RW 24X SATA INT RM59
CM K281 ATX RM129
FSP HEXA 500W RM149

Total RM1493

EDIT: price taken from VIEWNET

Try this. You can also consider GTX 760 as it has a slightly better performance compared to R9 270X.

Intel Core i3 4330 - RM449
Asrock H81M-DGS - RM179
Corsair Value Ram 4GB DDR3 1600MHz - RM119
WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD - RM189
Sapphire R9 270X Dual-X - RM739
Cooler Master K380 Casing - RM149
FSP Hexa 500W PSU - RM149
Lite-On 24x DVDRW - RM59

Total - RM2032 (prices are from Viewnet)

Optional: Leadtek GTX 760 - RM799

Both are good for 3d rendering if we are looking at multi-thread case.
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/CPU/39
There's also some cases that FX8350 performs better when the software utilize the multi-core thread from AMD cpu, but I cant remember where's the benchmark results. You can change the bench setting on link above.
By considering i7 is slightly expensive and also offer slightly better performance, lower power consumption, etc. However, we have the option of Xeon E3 1230v2/v3 that offers similar performance as i7 3770/4770 at RM100 cheaper price.

If I understand you right,

between

AMD FX 8-Core Black Edition FX-8350 RM659
and
Core i7-4770 - RM990

its much valuable to take FX-8350 for rendering

and if compare between

FX-8350
and
Xeon E1230v3 - RM790

its still considerable to take Xeon is it?

Im considering in changing to AMD just for the sake of trying things out and from what I head its much easier to OC FX CPU rather than intel core.

oh yeah, never OC before and I think its time for me to take another step thumbup.gif

Both side are favorable depends on preference, but more likely taking the Intel path as for me im familiar to Intel more than amd.
At the meanwhile, AMD was staying AM3+ for quite some time and we didnt see much improvement on features. Instead they just add-in something like more sata/usb ports without really improve much on the mobo chipset.
Overclocking hard or easy on AMD i'm not sure, perhaps u need consult sifu from overclocking section.

Build me a (MATX) pc that I can carry around easily. Not planning to do any OC (not sure if it'll fit the budget) but if it's possible then why not?. Thanks!
