i was shocked that the model RRP will be rm2xxx

but they call it so called "hero model"
the one that could bring nokia back into the game.

but the price is jus ridiculous.
especially with the upcoming availability of NOTE3 in the market at similar price. its not even the same category
*
Selling higher price is not bringing Nokia (or Microsoft) back into the game.

Anyway, the point here is, the more people willing to pay higher price, the price will be higher.
Just imagine if someone is doing a survey to see how many people willing to pay RM2399 or higher. If their survey found that there is enough people 'willing' to fork out so much, why should they lower the price?
Think for a moment.

Besides, the price could very much likely drop more if it's priced higher, so those early adopters may suffer the bigger loss and hurt when the price drops. Is it worth so much?
808 PureView didn't cost "that" much.

how about 2,499 with camera grip?

Shouldn't be much of an issue, but only if it has EzyPay brows.gif

Or I might just wait for 1520 rclxub.gif

Now I can't decide ...

Hehe. Thanks for the Mooncake Greeting as well as Lumia 1020.

QUOTE(mwtang @ Sep 19 2013, 09:50 AM)
It's only fair if u compare apple to apple . If the 1020 focus on the camera , why not match it with another phone release that equals the task.

We all do know the rant is more in the platform itself . To be fair iOS and android platforms are leading the pack .

At the end of the day , it's your money and you choose which phones that's gives u the ultimatum gratification and not what you would prefer to be seen with

Just my 2 cents worth

Well said.
I love the last sentence 'not what you would prefer to be seen with'.

mwtang, Please post the pricing once known.
Thanks you,

Well, it's a free market out there. Vote with your wallet. If you think the price is good, buy. Otherwise, don't.

I would say the RM2k+ would be a bundle, bundle with what? The grip of course! Few months later they will discard the bundle and introduces the "standalone" version, which is going to be, say... RM1.7k?

The grip will cost a lot and you'd probably think "I should've bought it earlier".

So, they better put this badass grip into the bundle. mad.gif

Just saying. If they can price it at RM1899, but many people said they willing to pay RM2399. Just imagine, should they price it RM1899? rolleyes.gif

Anyway, eventually it will drop price, just how much. My point here is, why see people spend so much then after a short while, the price drops a lot? rolleyes.gif

Of course, you can disagree with me. I'm just sharing my point of view, if people are doing survey how much they want to price "something", should the customer said, I willing to pay MORE or hope they can price it "competitively" and also more "reasonable", it's not really high end on the specs, the camera is the main thing, but the Nokia 808 PureView is only selling at RM1899.

Everyone has their own "price" they willing to pay, some may EVEN willing to pay RM2500, but why not cheaper if can? Or you prefer them to price it higher? Remember, the people doing survey to price the product is the key point here.
After the price is announced, it's up to each person decision how much they ACTUALLY willing to pay.
Some people may say, I willing to buy if the price is RM2299, but when actual launch, the person may not willing to pay for it and wait for price drop.
You may also notice, some say RM2299, then some say RM2199. Technically, it's RM100 difference. If really RM2299, will the person who said RM2199 won't buy? Or let's say, RM2099, the person target RM2K or below, so RM2099, will buy or not?

The price already rumored to be RM2XXX, so, how much they willing to price it, the people in forums/online may have "affect" on their decision how they are going to price it. Do you want them to price it higher or lower? It's up to you.

Or wait for 1520 bundle brows.gif

The only thing keeping me back right now is the processing lag. If 1520 is half as good, I'll probably settle with 1520.

Yes, I get what you mean.

Price is subjective based on individuals. How much is cheap enough? How much is too expensive? Everyone has a different baseline to everything. Best way? Vote with your wallet. If it's cheap, grab. If it's expensive, fine, don't buy. No point whining in this thread (those who are whining about price, take note).

Any idea if the free camera grip limited? Or will be long term?
Also, any idea if the colors will be matching with the phone?

Which Nokia Store?
I was told by Nokia Store The Curve that they are not holding any L920 because L920 is being replaced with L925. I was like 'huh?' in my head.

Yes, agree. If the price is OK for the person, then grab it.

But now the price is not confirm or announce, I'm just reminding/hinting that we should not try to mention we willing to pay MORE and MORE. smile.gif
You check back previous post, from initial below RM2K, become RM2499, lol. If more people can vote/show they wish for lower price, the people at Nokia may have to think/consider of lowering the price of bundle something better. The people doing survey can show the management on the customer's feedback and concern *ahem* *ahem*

Anyway, after the price is announce, that's a different story.
