i just upgraded to latest Carbon Rom 20131002, but when i flash Elementalx kernel to it it dont work with the rom, it makes the device lag like hell, when when i dont flash the kernel the rom works fine

Mine is excellent , absolutely ZERO lags on latest carbon rom 1Oct with Elemental X kernel. I have been using this kernel since Carbon rom dated around end Aug. However I chose all the default values in the ElementalX and only select double tap to wake display and swype to sleep

what other browser do u guys recommend? chrome seems to be laggy. not that smooth. I'm replacing iPad 4 with this nexus 7. So I want to browser as smooth as safari. Not rooted..

As we know it isn't built to send and receive phone calls. However, people are still looking into alternative methods to enable the Nexus 7 LTE for voice calls.

Is there a solution here in Malaysia? I have thought about using a VOIP service.
Does any of our local carriers have a voip service that allows re-using our mobile number?

i got my n7 yesterday and when i got home first thing is root and flash carbonrom and elemental kernel. a lot snappier compared to stock rom and kernel. highly recommended.

uncle what is ur charge time from 0 to 100%? i find my n7 charging painfully slow. tried swapping cables and using ipad charger also same result.

everyone got their own preference but in terms of smoothness go for boat browser or dolphin.

and guys if ur using carbon rom and elemental kernel combo please beware, latest carbon rom 2 oct having some issues with elemental kernel. so hold back updating the rom until issues are resolved.

Just bought nexus 7 LTE 32gb last few days.
Been find out if place on flat surface like table, the touch screen become non sensitive like srcoll down quick menu from upper right on wifi,brightness control,have to touch few time to access. but when the device hold on hand,the problem mention gone. am i get the faulty set?

try update & factory restore.
though, it does not fix anything for me.
thinking if RMA the unit at local asus.
Mine is 32gb wifi only.

i try restore. seem now solve, but after sometime back again...

stock browser. chrome is laggy on 1gb ram stuff. 2gb ram device, i din lag before.

we are unlucky group.

Try this method to test your nexus 7 screen

1) download YAMTT in google play store
2) place your nexus 7 2013 on the table
3) open YMATT and tap touch tester
4) place two finger on upper right and lower right
5) slowly move to center right
6) magic happen!!!

Problem, I'll called 3 outlet and all have no stocks

Why not asking one of the outlet to check any outlet still have stock and ask them to transfer it to the outlet... They might ask you to come back tomorrow or few days since they need to take the stock from other outlet...

Try Naked Browser. it is very2 fast and it has a lot of options for gestures. The ui might be spartans, but the speed made up for it. I got the Pro version.
