Hi, I got my replacement unit after 2 weeks. When I received the phone at service centre, I checked everything works fine. And I have no idea why suddenly dead pixels appear just now. Is it possible for me to claim the warranty again? @@

Yes, possible. They will give you a 30 days warranty from the date you collected your replacement unit so act fast...

Okay, Thank you. Arh I have to wait for another 2 weeks again to take my device back... really speechless.
p/s:I rechecked the dead pixel, it seems like dirt more than dead pixel for me, i should send it to service centre or any alternative way to identify it?

I did that, and I think is the dirt, it's above the display layer. Sending to service center is very troublesome for me. And the waiting time to get back device is killing me. Any idea any way else can fix that?

Send to your nearest phone shop and void your warranty and risk making it non-waterproof. So, if warranty still valid, its best to send for warranty. Its unlucky you got this problem after claiming warranty though

According to source, Sony Xperia Z series is gonna release Android 5.0 update at next month, and it's start with Z3 first, so ZR would probably release at March/April

Hi, I got my replacement unit back in few months ago. They changed the phone but not the back cover of my ZR. Today I bring my phone to bath and ended up water entered the screen as the picture shows. Attached Image
*Brighter part is the affected area.

So now the questions arises,

1)1 of the water indicator turns pink and is it possible to claim the warranty?

2)I left my warranty card in Sabah and is it possible to claim it or i have to take my warranty card and claim at Sabah?(I'm now in KL for sem break)

3)Any other alternative way to fix it without sending to repair? (For example put it closed tight in a container which contains dehydrating agent)

4) Is the effect permanent ?

So damn frustrating when it happened and found out i left my warranty card in Sabah. mad.gif mad.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Not sure about the other questions but you can try to dry it up as u mentioned in no. 3. They say putting in container with rice will absorb the moisture. Just give it a try.

I send it for warranty claim ytd, i am surprised that it is still able to claim even the water indicator turns pink. As far as I know, once the indicator turns pink, the warranty will be voided. Guess i am the one lucky though... Changed 2 phones within 1 year warranty period.. LOL

Wanted to upgrade but then it requires so much space right (like >1gb)? So I still hold back now.
Speaking of sound, I noticed fro some time now my phone speaker phone sounds so weak! Anybody knows why and how to rectify?

Yeah, needed 1.2gb. Had to uninstall some apps, then install it back.
The sound is a common thing but the update seems to make it worse. Maybe can install 3rd party sound booster app. So far no difference in battery life but it ran a bit hot after update. Now seems normal.

Mine sound I don't see any different. The only thing the wifi indicator still on at battery status details even I not use and on the wifi at that time. Else the bravia engine always keep off after reboot or after completing charging the phone. Need to manually on the Bavaria engine. Battery usage seem like more draining than kit kat.
