Hi all, I'm currently very interested in getting the ZR especially due to the size which is still not too big like Z1/Note, it's waterproof capability, and relatively cheap price nowadays.
Any issues with this phone though before I really buy it? Thx all.

Thank for the link. Actually im not ready to upgrade my ZR to 4.3 yet since my ZR only 1 month old and I already rooted. I keep this update just incase my ZR got problem and need to send to service centre I need to remove the root for warranty by downloading the latest updates via PCC.

as Ujangns said, wait for Z1 compact. higher specs but smaller screen, the price will be just over 1.5k if we dont deviate too far from taiwan's price.
*
Yeah I know about the Z1 Compact but screen a bit too small already. I like sizes around the ZR or Galaxy S4. More over I need the phone now, and not willing to spend so much on phones. Anyway I bought the ZR already yesterday and so far quite happy with it, pass my water test also. Just wish the battery life can last the full 24hrs, but I guess even >12hrs is already an achievement for smartphones, isn' it? smile.gif

Not only ZR, even motoG... I think 4.3 does not have a good good script for battery life...
Well my Lenovo P780 does it... with 4000mAh haha... casual user mostly can get 1.5 to 2 days...
Do not worry as my fren uses at least 2 battery per day for his S4 haha... so you are not getting the worst...
I would say his usage is towards moderate only as he mainly uses data for chatting, fb and looking at his shares...
I am looking at this also, I'm not going to pay more than RM1000 for a phone now as technology will move fast... and also Stupid flagship is not as good as u think of, cos they wanna push out faster so firmware sure got bugs n hardware all new and latest... sure got problem...
*
Yeah, 1st time using is always the most since still trying to learn it and customizing it. After that then should be much less usage, so I hope it will last longer.
Btw I think I'd need to buy the docking charger so I won't need to keep opening that charger flap until it becomes spoiled and cannot hold the water out.

I don't know, haven't got time to look for it yet. Yes surely have in MY coz I know someone who already is using it for exactly the same reason as mine. I think he bought it at Sony KLCC.

you send yourself to the amcorpmall or through the shop?

i sent to the amcorp mall, also took me a month and more....

they cant find why the water went in, then replace new mother board for me, which still under warranty.
*
Wah very good then, I thought based on the warranty book, water damage is not covered.

Sorry what are specifically the issues with wifi & BT? I've also upgraded mine but seems still ok, or maybe I just haven't noticed it yet.

Submerged my phone in sea yesterday and the touch screen went faulty. Went to service centre and they checked the indicator no problem. They told me that in this case they will have to send the device back to KL and 1-to-1 exchange for me. :/
*
Argh same thing happen to me last weekend! mad.gif Took it to swiming pool a few times already in several months, works fine but then at the last time after we finish swimming and arrived home, suddenly when I took out my phone from my bag the screen was flickering and half of it already dark! I was surprised because it was fine even after we finish swimmming that day. I then immediately turn it off then try to dry it out overnight (open cover, battery, flaps) and try to hairdry also but the screen compeltely gone already. Just today I called the service center and they say cannot repair so can only exchange with new phone. That means I'd loose all the data inside it! mad.gif Very dissapointed now with this phone and will never trust any waterproof phone anymore.

Is there a way to get the data back from the phone?? Because the phone itself actually still works, just the screen dead. Apprecaite any help on this.

connect to pc?  unsure.gif

The thing is if the screen is dead, then you cannot activate the connection to the PC. It says that the phone is still locked and need to be unlocked in order to connect! cry.gif

It seems that the connection holding the screen to phone seeps water in.. did you dive with your phone? THey did say not to use in under pressure
*
No I did not, I was just swimming in the swimming pool and most of the time the phone is above water anyway.

This thread has been neglected. Anyone updated to 5.0.2 yet? I updated last Friday. So far so good but some features missing and the sound is also less louder.
*
Wanted to upgrade but then it requires so much space right (like >1gb)? So I still hold back now.
Speaking of sound, I noticed fro some time now my phone speaker phone sounds so weak! Anybody knows why and how to rectify?
