QUOTE(edwardleong @ May 15 2013, 10:10 PM) Just receive my Rive Gauche tester unit from my beloved lyn forumer... A spray to the back of my hand, I cant find any reason to condemn or not to like it... It is special class on its own... the unique shaving cream tin can bottle already a reason to buy it, created by Jacques Cavallier under the superviser of tom ford when he was in ysl... Hi Bro... Cool... I wanna get one too besides the la collection i have. I wanna keep it and use the tin can instead... Mind to share where you got it? PM Me... CheerssssSo happy tat I am able to get my hand on the tin can n not the la collection... first thing tat came onto my mind when I spray it, men facial product vibe... Very clean very aromatic... No citrus, no floral, not sweet,ie linear... keep smelling my hand... Like eau sauvage, pour monsieur, RG scream confidence gentleman, must dress up to fit it... Will have full wearing tml to work... Having RG makes me wanna shave everyday |

QUOTE(kelthuzad @ May 18 2013, 04:19 PM) wow i really like the packaging for Eight & Bob,its a book?how they smell like bro?which is your favourite out of the 3? Bro.. Yes, the packaging of eight & bob comes in a book. The parfum is placed inside a book.. yes, means they sort of cut a hole inside a book for the parfum. Eight & Bob has mild citrusy opening.. and the dry down is more woody and powdery. Very classy type of "english" fragrance. FM's new parfum is woody all the way and it dries down to a little sweet like vanilla kinda sweetness. Odin is dark... It's smoky and woody... very unique. In terms of packaging, i have to give it to eight & bob. But it terms of scent, i prefer FM because of the complexity of the fragrance, it changes every 2hrs or so on my skin. Just like woody but changes to a different type of woody scent overtime.. maybe sandalwood to cedar wood to etc.. etc... can't really figure out what's the main woody ingredient. |

QUOTE(t0n3 @ Jun 15 2013, 12:00 AM) Haven't really tested them out yet. Right out of decant/vial, PL smells like original Amen without the tar note. PM and PH smell like original Amen with whiskey and cherry note respectively. Honestly, I still prefer original Amen. If I had to choose between the three, it'd be PL only. Yes!! PL... is really good... My no 1 choice out of all 3.. High-Five!! But original Amen is too sweet for my liking though... |

QUOTE(t0n3 @ Jun 17 2013, 03:44 PM) My local Parkson Dior counter has a vintage DH tester. I didn't detect any differences like others said right off the bat. Didn't do side by side comparison though. Where did you get your vintage bottle? Hi T0n3... i purchased this don't know how many donkey years ago... I think the current DH appears to be more powdery compared to this one... |

QUOTE(shalalala =) @ Jun 17 2013, 09:13 PM) Astroboy22, Hi Bro... You collected them then... Thanks for the pure malt, pure havane, and musc ravageur.. I wasted no time to try the most hyped up one of them all, musc ravageur.. I smell a more complex and refined V&R Spicebomb... I think its the cinnamon which was very prominent... When it settles, then the vanilla kicks in... It remains musky throughout.. For its price, I think would rather get a Spicebomb for the same vibe.. Just my humble untrained opinion.. Peace out guys I think what is smelled at the top is the burst of clove ... To any extend, it doesn't smell like Spice bomb on me though...hhhmmm, weird |
