Just receive my Rive Gauche tester unit from my beloved lyn forumer... A spray to the back of my hand, I cant find any reason to condemn or not to like it... It is special class on its own... the unique shaving cream tin can bottle already a reason to buy it, created by Jacques Cavallier under the superviser of tom ford when he was in ysl...

So happy tat I am able to get my hand on the tin can n not the la collection... first thing tat came onto my mind when I spray it, men facial product vibe... Very clean very aromatic... No citrus, no floral, not sweet,ie linear... keep smelling my hand... Like eau sauvage, pour monsieur, RG scream confidence gentleman, must dress up to fit it...

Will have full wearing tml to work... Having RG makes me wanna shave everyday

hey guys,

currently using black, and i wanna know what is the difference between black and double black?

thought of having it as a wedding gift

like black, double black, deo and some miniature

and i noticed there is no shower cream or after shave for this?

As a very delighted pdb user, I can say it is one of the best from polo since romance silver.

Pdb opening with very nice mango smell then follow with pepper n nutmeg. The coffee is light but blend with other notes well to create mango nutmeg single-shot espresso.... However it is not a gourmand n doesnt make u think tat u r in starbucks

It is very versatile, not offensive, very safe... Subtle projection, last 4hrs on my skin...

After a few times wearing Amouage Epic, i finally try back my cdg... this time i try spray it like 6" away from my chest... i was blown away in a very positive way.. hey why i didnt get this vibe before....

the clove is very distinct from the opening then the honey, sandalwood, cinnamon come out to join the party.. yum very depth 1 spray last whole day scent.. under sunny day, its strength multiply.... will use it more often edi smile.gif

My next to get list after my fav rive gauche will be egoiste by chanel... According to Jacques Polge, this is his best ever and Basenotes have rave reviews on this guy..

egoiste isnt for everyone. some may find it too pungent. but it is a good scent. I have it and it is one of my faves. My advice is to test it out before buying.

the scent is surprisingly similiar to body shop's sandalwood & ginger home fragrance oil.

i know... it is strong it scream attention smile.gif initially it has ko me few months back, but after sniffing alot of bottles, and try to get used to lots of notes, well i am sucks in tat still.. lol my current line up really like on each end of the scale: eau sauvage, prada amber ph, rive gauche, eau des bavx, amouage epic, cdg, dhi.. just no room for aquatic and gourmand

go to essential oil counter and sniff every available bottle. it helps in learning how to identify the notes properly. That's what I did tongue.gif

Lanvin is really an underrated brand in Malaysia... very hard to get... nice addition bro wazzapp smile.gif

Today after work went to sniff out Chanel Egoiste and Antaeus... both of this just blow me out of my mind... sadly to say i love all classics by chanel than those recent releases.... Initially both of these kind of put me off but after being exposed to Amouage and CDG, hey i realize they are actually very nice...

The sales girl say Antaeus, egoiste and PM are very cold frags, she told me she wont even consider her bf to wear them, i was like wtf... anyway both can be label under niche and can sell very well...

Antaeus open like very strong animalic scent, quite similar to amouage standard opening... then the drydown is sweet, spicy, powder masculine.. the rose, patchouli, jasmine are prominent... it is just beautiful... Egoiste reminds me of diptyque voluptes... linear but very well done.. rose, sandalwood, vanilla mix well to give u a very sexy smell... each is 279 for 100ml...

It is time for me to break the bank for these two babies smile.gif

Hi, is there any perfume that probably last longer, say at least morning to evening? My Acqua Di Gio only last 1-2 hours. I know it might be my chemistry. But is there any generally long lasting perfume?
*
Well u can look into chanel allure homme sport... Citrus with fanta orange drydown... It last 7hrs on my wrist when I try it...

Another is platinum egoiste... Fresh clean.. I started to like the metalic note it carries....

I've been using Gentleman for months now and I seriously like it's manly mid and alluring base notes. That's if you can withstand the woody/tobacco top haha!
*
Haha the patchouli is quite strong.. Tried it on my wrist once, I love it straight lol...

After this im thinking of getting either antaeus or kouros

after tested this,i really have to get this.it smells of quality, even the bottle is nice, magnetic cap.the opening is a bit strong, but then the sweetness comes in,i do get a bit of root beer smell here,if thats how myrrh smells like,i love it.this really smells of quality juice.if u like Encre Noire,u will like this as well.i tested this on the back of my palm and it's there the whole day.but this isnt for the youngsters, this is for da man.
if any one wants this can pm me,can get a good price for u.will do a promo decant for u guys as well, super cheap

Bro.. I.could not agree more with u... ES parfum is really not for hippes, more towards realiable gentleman... I also get the root beer note too... It not that dark compare to Encre Noire as I dont get that ink vibe here... Magnetic cap is an added bonus...

Opening quite similar with.the ori ES but thats where all the similarity end lol... Quite similar with pour monsieur concentre... If not I sure get this... Both are love at first sniff.. And will bring ur olfactory level higher lol

true, the basenote is a lighter version of Encre Noire, some compared this to L'instant de Guerlain,i dunno but i am starting like this kind of scent, getting older probably.
hey i saw my old friend there.by the way bro, there's a new givenchy gentlemen only ,a flanker of givenchy gentleman, but i dont think it can be as good as the original
*
Haha it is a journey of scent, bro... taste evolved... last time i felt Pour Monsieur, Eau Sauvage all dated n have this old man smell... and now im wearing them with pride lol... and i even think kouros n antaeus are sexy lol... i like 80s' omg!!!!!!

Yea... i like ur old friend very much smile.gif Givenchy Gentlemen Only is a letdown for me... if i'm still not an owner of GG, i found this very nice just like bleu de chanel, but then once u have been expose to the true GG... this is sad to say.. a crap T_T...

Going to try a few times n hunt the following (can only choose 1):
Caron Pour Un Homme - very cheap alternative to By Kilian's A taste of heaven; plus its a classic vanilla
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme - Bond no9 Great Jones; plus classic fougere
Chanel Antaeus - masculine, i like the leather note, its just the indian jasmine smell tat make me sit on the borderline to buy or not...
YSL Kouros - Sampled it once, it is a dirtier Antaeus
Chanel Egoiste - the rose vanilla sandalwood triple treat combo keeps me wanting for more...
Chanel Pour Monsieur or Dior Eau Sauvage - Which to get first.. well eventually i think i will have both in my collection... simply cant resist the elegantness
