No, I never say you are rude to me. You help me on many occasions in this thread, and I respect you. Just sometimes other newbie like me will scare to post anything in this thread if senior like you are being too harsh. You could advice them in a good way. Not teaching you btw, different people have different approach, so I'm sorry if my previous post to you is a bit rude. Looking forward for a nice advice from you guys.  notworthy.gif
SOTD : Coolwater. dislike at the first sniff. been wearing it a lot cause of no other option for a fresh scent, start to grow on me, but not yet to the stage that i like it. fresh, cool and classic scent btw.
*
bro... u make me so gatal wanna try FFL spirit la lol...

fresh scent also divided into several types.. green, citrus, fruity etc... Coolwater is nice... Green Irish Tweed better though...

well u can look at Prada Amber PH, Chanel Allure Homme Sport, Dior Homme Cologne, Aqua Fahrenheit, Cartier Roadster

No I havent, but all the review I saw say that it is same scent as adg which I love. And my adg already finish, so thinking to buy red perry ellis as the replacement. Have you tried it before? Any one who ever try Red Perry Ellis, please let me know your experience. thanks.
*
I just quote from Luca Turin, there wont be another scent that will smell identical to the one that u like... The excitement of blind buy is there but then i wont recommend it just because price-wise... i got mixed experience on cheapie blind-buys lol...

Perry ellis, if not mistaken u can try to sniff sniff in Mid Valley, last round my friend bought perry ellis 18 there...

BDC is very nice smile.gif salty grapefruit incense scent, edition blanche has this lemongrass vibe then lemon vanilla, veery nice too most of the chanel are very nice choice...

still it is ur nose that make the decision smile.gif i might also wanna tumpang if u wanna buy from FragranceX lol

Ya I know, but just saying that because I love FFL Spirit, and I don't way edward bro buying the perfume that i say is good and then hate it.  biggrin.gif I will feel wrong later. haha. Havr to try Dior Homme Cologne btw? I got a good offer but choose to buy DHI instead just because its popularity.
*
no worries bro... i can drop by to any mall to sniff it out smile.gif if u like neroli, orange blossom, DHC is a clean, fresh, citrus, white floral...

DHI is solid choice... niche quality in my book... one of my sensual frags along with LIDGE and Black Orchid flex.gif

wat is ur fav top 5

For any fume heads in Penang who wanna still new to oud and wanna try out them... Sephora at Gurney Paragon carry Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir...

Attached Image

Bottle presentation is awesome smoked glass of versace ph and the medusa emblem is in gold colour smile.gif

Size and price: 100ml for RM400

My initial impression:

Very strong n promising opening reminds me of one very famous oud frag... dun flame me.. it smell identical to CREED ROYAL OUD!!! later i did some research on the notes... both of them share 80% notes in common... orange, pepper, lemon, oud, spice.... which almost caught me there to buy it... but no no

Then slowly it drydown... the royal oud slowly transit into 1 million drydown... sweet light leather floral scent... which to me is a big letdown... Royal oud drydown of cedar, pencil shaving is much nicer imo... nevertheless, it is not offensive at all, none of the barnyardish, skanky, animalic characteristic of oud...

YSL M7 oud absolu would be a better choice for a designer fresh citrus oud combo...

Im very keen to look for a series of wearable oud scent...

Currently looking at Bond New York Oud, Tom Ford Oud Wood, Noir de Noir

oh yeah.how come never recommend DHC to you.i have this and is a good fresh scent.dont be fooled by the cologne, this thing last as long as EDT and projects quite well.this is very fresh, lime juice fresh.ends with a nice musk.this is an elegant fresh scent, try this out, very versatile.i wear this during really hot days and it feels so good.the bergamot and the grapefruit i think, blends really well. hey i think FFLS has grapefruit too right??and i do agree with you here, other members might not like FFLS due to it not being special enough,it's nice but not interesting. i like FFLS but not love yet.
*
haha DHC is very nice... edc with edt power... simple notes but good harmony.. try it

maybe im old edi.. tolerance for sweet thing little old, takut diabetic lol

Miss your post yesterday. What perfume are you looking for bro? I might place an order next week. If you interested to join you can always pm me.  biggrin.gif
I need to calm down and buy slowly, too much spend in this few days.  sweat.gif
So, usually the postage is around 10days bro? Quite fast. I really want the 200ml perry ellis 360 red, will use it as my go to scent.
And one more thing, do you feel using lotion before applying perfume make the perfume projects better or have a better longevity even if a bit?
*
Slowly bro... Try first ya... For me 7working days, usually I make d order at night since fragX is us company therefore when I wake up the frag is really to ship out :-)

Depend on ur skin, even my dry skin eat up frag, most of my purchases last and still have an inch of projection by end of day

waiting for fragX restock tuscan leather

So... was enjoying my new LIDGE until......  received comments it have this "grandma" smell, and reminds the person of their "grandma". shocking.gif

Dont feel so good when using this now, probably will only use it in certain occasions  doh.gif

On the other hand, Virgin Island Water is an awesome perfume. To me it smells like lime, coconut + rum.
I still get whiffs of it after applying for more than 6 hours, but unsure if others can detect the smell.  hmm.gif
*
Dont worry bro.. Wats ur purpose of putting a scent? U like the smell just wear it :-)

Lucky my gf like lidge hehe...

I mean I love aquatics and sweet scents too. There's nothing wrong with it. It does its purpose well. For me, I will appreciate if the scent is original and unique. When you experience more scents you will be more picky and want more and more.

edward is in his late 20's and I'm in my 30's. I still like sweet scents as long as it's not overly sweet. 24 Gold is almost reaching my border line.
*
yea... as long not overly sweet... the sweetness in chergui, black orchid, west side... are all well balanced.. well except pure malt which need to see my mood lol

At the moment, after using few perfume and vials in different groups, I find out that I'm more into fresh aquatic citrusy scent or something sweet like 1 million, gucci guilty. I guess that shows immaturity of myself in the perfumes line.
My boss is a girl and she is single.  brows.gif

Joking.
*
no la... our nose will surely change and keep wanting to smell something better, more complex, more depth... slowly evolve biggrin.gif i went through it same as you.. still remember my first frag was adidas then work scent is present polo blue...

then black orchid open the passage of my journey into niche lol

I tried all the Amouage you mentioned including Opus Library recently. I only found Interlude and Opus VI interesting for my taste and eventually bought a tester bottle of Interlude. I'm still waiting for a tester bottle of Opus VI to become available.

Just a heads up for those looking for testers of Dior Homme and Eau Sauvage, bestbuyworld has further reduced the price for them. DH=RM130 and ES=RM160. No, I don't work for them biggrin.gif

Thank u ... will check them out. How about Davidoff?
*
Davidoff is quite solid safe designer house, coolwater has endless flankers lol... if you wanna try something special, u may head to L'occitane and try out this Eau de Baux... woody smoky vanilla... my gf love it on me

QUOTE(AmmoShaf @ Dec 14 2013, 10:53 AM)
Davidoff fragrance is great too. I have Davidoff coolwater which is a fresh scent, to me, it is good perfume, not offensive and easy to like. Other fragrance from Davidoff such as Champion, Game, Silver Shadow are okay, but not that great imo. It will be good if you know how he would like to smell..if not then go for the safest one like Giorgio Armani aqcua di gio, Versace Pour Homme or Chanel Allure line(more expensive).

Thanks Bro Marver for ur amber sultan and Bond no 9 brooklyn bon bon sample... hopefully, the decants of epic and royal oud reach you safe n sound....

SOTD - Bond no 9 Brooklyn

Wow... Chilled refreshing gin & grapefruit opening... i love it... veery inoffensive.. i dont think anyone will not like it... it is a very modern scent that doesnt give u a feel that meh it is just a generic aquatic safe scent, boring...

It can easily be ur mr/ms versatile, perfectly for our climate here smile.gif

Overall im sold with Brooklyn, as usual with bond it is on a higher price spectrum >_<

This is imo a more refined, more complete Polo Romance Silver...
