*
My friend... this works it magic diff on girl and on a guy... Well i am far welcome if a man's crotch smells like BO lol

2 sprays enuf seriously.

I just gotten my Amouage Memoir Man today smile.gif

Initial impression: totally blown away... minty absinthe opening.. green fairy is in da house...

if u shine light through memoir's bottle, u can see the juice is green colour icon_rolleyes.gif

IMO, it is a dark evil twin brother of GIT

Amouage is slowly becoming one of my favorite niche houses with quality, performance and most importantly price friendly (tester of course).
*
The absinthe / licorice / anise vibe is very nice and kaw... keep reminds me of one scent tat i have... guess wat.. is LIDGE

Overall it is not a middle-eastern like EPIC Man... it is more western style... i wont go for retail bottle for sure, tester is the crazy value for money...

It is not a linear scent... from the cool green opening, it transit to drydown smoothly with the green slowly tone down and the dry wood, pencil shave come out and play... it is similar to GPH and D2 potion but then the greeness keep the frag feel wet...

i cant get the tobacco and leather notes.. maybe my nose still noob

it wont offend ppl, longevity yes but shy in projection.. so far interlude is the loudest follow by Epic...

Guys, would like to ask for suggestions. I had a bottle of aqua di gio for quite long time and love how it smells(pls notice that i only smells very2 few numbers of perfume in my entire life). Then i watch a lot of youtube review, basenote, fragrantica review for my next perfume as my adg finish. Decided to get Davidoff cool water, buying online(blindbuy), never test it.

At first use, i am quite disappointed as CW smells cheap to me and it has bad longevity and also bad projection. I spray a lot(at least 6 sprays) but no one even notice it after 30-40minutes. After using for 3-4 times, it becomes an okay perfume. My gf prevoiusly like ADG and says that coolwater smells harsh but both of them cant last long for me. So I am searching for perfume that last long and project wells because i like to be notice and get compliments.

This leads me to JPG Le Male, TM A*men, PR 1million. I never test this kind of perfume, and most of the review said this kind of perfume would be best used in winter/falls while Malaysia is quite hot/warm. Is there any suggestions?
*
Best is that you drop by your local departmental store and sample, since all of these that u mention are very mainstream, it should be on most of the shelf of fragrance counter icon_rolleyes.gif

Reviews are to give a picture of what u can expect from the frag, ultimately it is u who wear it and u who decide is it nice on ur skin smile.gif

From your description, if u are looking for fresh scent tat last, do give Chanel Allure Homme sport / Eau Extrame / Edition Blanche a look... last around 7-8hr on my skin and it is nice

Hey Guys... Gotten myself Bond No 9 West Side as my birthday present smile.gif

It is such an up-scale rose frag, although is unisex but then could lean towards feminine side for certain guys out there.

As a guy that has Tom Ford's Black Orchid as signature frag, i dont see any difficulty wearing West Side.

Thanks bro Marver for the nice packaging and timely delivery.. Lorry no rosak this time hahahahaha

Bond No. 9 West Side - My first bond bottle smile.gif

Notes
Top: Rose, Peony, Ylang-Ylang
Mid: Amber, Sandalwood
Base: Vanilla, Musk

How it smells like according to my nose: When i first spray, it reminds me of one boozy drink. well according to Fragrantica reviewers, it smell like rose dip in wine, no no no for me... i smell ANGLIA SHANDY!!! yes West Side opening smell like Anglia Shandy.. ice cool, fizzy, sparkling... then after 10mins, the shandy start to fade to the background, then i start getting rose and other floral.. i did check what peony smell like, it should smell like rose lol

then the creamy sandalwood prevents the scent creep into feminine side, the rose is ripe rose petal, less dirty than the rose in egoiste... slowly the vanilla come out and say hello.. the vanilla in this context is not edible but it gives out a vanilla ice cream vibe which is beautiful, imo

Overall picture is like u are opening a can of Shandy then start to eat vanilla ice-cream on a sandalwood table in a rose garden smile.gif The notes are easily detectable through my noob nose...

Projection and Longevity Projection wise, it is kind of quiet... long lasting i get 8hrs on me for the first wearing... will continue to test...

my initial impression - 9/10, West side is definitely a good blend, perfect for special occasion, date, suit up, clean cut, well-groom guys smile.gif

Finally manage to upload the pic of my botol

I am thinking of getting this one as well, but the rose is a bit too dominant me thinks, making it really feminine. Gonna guve it a 2nd try soon. Comparing this and bleecker street for my first bond. Btw, how much U got it for?
*
i dont really like Bleecker street, quite foody to my nose... ya give it a second try sin before flashing ur rectangular plastic card...

dont go for retail bond... i'll ask my supplier pm u the price ya smile.gif

Haha...quite similar indeed. The yummy creaminess of AHS nails it for me. My No.1 hot day-summer scent which also works well in cooler days but its almost 90% hot day scent for me.
*
To me it is quite easy to decide, either orange popsickle or incense grapefruit :-)

Over here in penang it is a very hot day then late afternoon heavy downpour...

Sotd - millesime imperial

Wanna ask has anyone here tried the house of Byredo before? Since Strawberry finally bring in the 50ml bottle... From what i research from the internet, the Swedish house is quite new. I'm interested with their Black Saffron ie lighter Tuscan Leather, and accord oud (opening of Tuscan Leather + dry down of Oud Wood)

It has been so long since i Last posted here. Very tempting list of perfume was mentioned here that made me want to go for a little scent hunting. Amazing fagrance you guys have. Im jealous, hehe

Last night Got the chance to visit klcc &  check out chanel les exclusive line, diptyques, a few penhaligons, bonds, amouage. The only thing that catches my attention was chanel coromandel & volutes. Seriously im torn between these 2. Both just have the same vibe. They're somehow very calming chocolatey vanilla spice with a touch of incess type of scent. Love the tobacco sweetness in volutes .

To anyone who has experience with both coromandel &  volutes, do break the tie between these 2 for me. Tq guys.  Btw they already have creeds royal oud there. Didn't had the chance to try it.
*
volutes and chergui do quite similar if u compare both under edp concentration. Volutes is drier, tobacco is more pronounce.

I prefer chergui over volutes coz chergui is denser, richer, last longer and cheaper. sorry coz im a price-sensitive guy.

Where TV is totally different thing. The closest frag that resemble TV is L'occitan Eau De baux... give it a try

Coromndel is one of it kind, always in my want-to-buy list however Cuir de Russie supersede anything from Chanel lol. seems ur choices are complicated heavy scent, did u gave Amouage Jubilation XXV a try?

SOTD: PMC

PMC has more similarities to Drakkar Noir than CPM during the drydown. too much oakmoss and vanilla.

no wonder its priced a lot more cheaper compared to the other Chanels.
*
yea.. the oakmoss.. can smell it through the sprayer... nevertheless it is still a very nice blend from chanel smile.gif

i can't actually wear much from the amouage house except for their lighter scent.  i love reflection man & ciel . as for the new scent beloved man, i really want to like it after seing all the notes listed in it. just could not pull the trigger on that kinda of price after really trying it on. i can't even remember how it smells like. a forgettable scent. just don't feel it fits the price.

Really sorry if anyone here love amouage beloved, maybe it's just my nose (^^) i bet there are somethings i can't detect in it because as the price speaks there must be something special about it right?

sotd : creed aventus for the evening smile.gif
*
IMO, Memoir Man is versatile and fits our climate well... Dark, Green, Herbal, Licorice sweet opening and tobacco woody drydown smile.gif Kinda like evil twin of GIT...

Epic i only wear it on a cooler weather or 1 spray before sleep smile.gif Guarantee a nice sleep... Reflection Man, to me kinda so so... I rather go for MFK Aqua Universalis for the same vibe and i will get a 1 litre laundry detergent lol

isetan, niche section, where the AG, Creed, penhaligons and MFKs are.
*
outside of isetan KLCC u got the chanel boutique which carry les exclusifs and opposite chanel u got dior privee collection smile.gif

basically we can find most of the more established niche brands there...

Joey, well i love PMC > PM, and it should not be launched as flanker of PM...

for the last time, Dior's Collection Privee is NOT available in malaysia.

If anyone sees ANY of these BOTTLES on sale in ANY counter in MALAYSIA, please take a picture and post it here, along with the address.

unless you do that, stop insisting that they are available in malaysia.

back in July'13 when i got my PMC from Chanel boutique in KLCC, i saw the counter and i did try out bois d'argent..

maybe it just temporary promotion or wat i dont know...
