Hmm...after I took a second look on my Q5, I am confused whether I am owning Q5 ii or old one, it has 3D printed on the front only, and back lable stated Q5 only.

For some weird reasons, every time I try to stream anything from this repo, I get the openload.co/pair Stream authorization error. I'm using Kodi 17.6 (Krypton) on my Android TV Box device.
On doing some research from my end, I found a tutorial to fix https://olpair.com stream authorization here- https://tricksdrop.com/fix-olpair-openload-...air-error-kodi/ but don't know if it works on Android TV or Not... Any working solution for the same? I guess the first method listed here is a permanent method but for that i need to disable my hosters which is scary and the second method is a temporary fix which enables me to watch movies for the next 4 hours after which I need to repeat the same process. |

I have a question, I connect Q10 pro with coaxial cable to my oold AVR which is capable of playing DTS/Dolby Digital 5.1.
But when I playback Bluray folder with TRUEHD 7.1 Atmos audio, my AVR can't receive any signal (or maybe can't decode it?), but if I choose 2.0 audio track then no problem on the AVR to receive the signal. Anyone know what is the problem? |

QUOTE(viruz @ Apr 3 2019, 02:18 PM) I have a question, I connect Q10 pro with coaxial cable to my oold AVR which is capable of playing DTS/Dolby Digital 5.1. coaxial, optical are SPDIF - limited to DD, DTS; digital but not HD - cannot do ddtruehd, dtshdma, ddatmos, dtsx. But when I playback Bluray folder with TRUEHD 7.1 Atmos audio, my AVR can't receive any signal (or maybe can't decode it?), but if I choose 2.0 audio track then no problem on the AVR to receive the signal. Anyone know what is the problem? those, u must use hdmi + capable AVR. |

QUOTE(nicety @ Apr 5 2019, 10:02 PM) my q5ii must be 8 years old now! 2 of the usb ports dun work anymore. anyway, this model has served its purpose and has lasted so long, can't complain. my 5 yr old q16 is still doing fine but can't do 10bit, hdr; android 4.4 can't do quite a no. of apps. q10pro is fabulous, stable firmware 2.1.1, excellent video and audio capabilities... but is coming 3 yrs old now, android7.0 i hope himedia will launch a new Q model soon. something like a "q5pro2" - 3 or 4gb+32gb, android8 that has firmware like q10pro to do astrogo, bluray menus, hd audio, dual band wifi. netflix hd/4k is not so impt since chances are a 4kTV will have netflix 4k built in already. |

hi,
i have been using minix u8h plus for several years now..mostly i just watch thru kodi and it works great at 1080p and dts or dd 5.1. Nevertheless, my avr can't decode files that have dd plus even when i see that my kodi displays the audio is dd plus. Few days ago, i opened a file thru file manager and picked video player to play instead..then i can see my avr is showing dd plus. i was bewildered.. i thought i cant play dd plus. It just that my kodi cant decode dd plus to my avr. Since i'm mostly playing files offline (thru my HDD). i am thinking of changing to q10 pro (one device to play all formats) but wary of himedia since i am minix user. i will also be changing my avr so maybe q10 pro will cover everyhting? |

tq for ur reply,
yes..my minix is abt 4 yrs old my avr is onkyo tx-sr307...i think 6 or 7 yrs old..basic avr with dts and dd most of my files are dts, dd 5.1 with average size of 9 Gb in accord with my avr specs i uses kodi 16 to play all of them until lately after i discovered that the minix video player is capable to pass dd+ to my avr (kodi cant do that). Now, i only use minix video player to play all my files, but i dont like the "menu" on minix video player. Minix has served me well, but i will be changing my avr to denon x4400h soon thus i will want to play files with 7.1 dtshdma, ddtruehd..so on i think my most important criteria is strong native player. i dont actually use other apps..i even stopped stream anything from kodi thank you for ur advice |

QUOTE(firecracker @ Apr 18 2019, 11:12 AM) tq for ur reply, the sr307 can do only dd, dts... dd+ is touch n go.... but since u hv seen it doing, i suppose it can.yes..my minix is abt 4 yrs old my avr is onkyo tx-sr307...i think 6 or 7 yrs old..basic avr with dts and dd most of my files are dts, dd 5.1 with average size of 9 Gb in accord with my avr specs i uses kodi 16 to play all of them until lately after i discovered that the minix video player is capable to pass dd+ to my avr (kodi cant do that). Q10pro is probably among the best media players at this time: .. plays almost all video formats... in my experience, it can't do only one uncommon format - hi10P sometimes found in japanese anime. .. audio.. anything.. dts, dts, dd+, dtshdma, ddtruehd, ddatmos, dtsx. .. it has its own superior native video player in a media center app (simple, nothing fanciful). .. plays dvd folders, 1080p/2160p bdmv folders with full menu's (this is hard to find on other boxes). .. auto framerate switching - auto changes to right framerate when a video is played... 24, 25, 30, 50, 60 fps. .. has an internal hdd compartment for sata 3.5" hdd. in summary, if yr avr and tv can do it, q10pro offers u a wonderful playback experience - video and audio. u will probably start recollecting yr stuff, junk the old ones... like i did. i have used other boxes too... besides the video and audio capabilities, the diff is also seen in video and audio quality production and smoothness when playing. cheap boxes tend to have judders, flashes, less colors, audio disconnects and even hang. QUOTE(firecracker @ Apr 18 2019, 03:51 PM) tq for ur advice.. As my usual advise in this thread, if your requirement is offline streaming, go for Himedia Q10 Pro. Minix is mainly for online streaming with higher apps compatibility.planning to change avr and media player..and need those audio formats to work well. As for tv..4k is not yet in urgent need, plus not many sources for it. thank you again good sir |
