What do you guys use to sync music playlists? WMP is helluva slow in syncing. Been using that since I've got mine like a year ago.

probably u can try dirty flash it, but i wont guarantee it will work thou

You better do titanium backup first.

Then only try dirty flash. Cataclysm forum got ppl feedback say he dirty flash no problem. But I dirty flash (with all my apps restored from TiBa), I stucked in bootloop. Forced to clean flash.

Don't drop your jaw after you flash. You can use the included kernel or flash Fancy kernel. It will 100% blows you out. You won't believe you eyes, your hands, your mind!

It's that smooth.

Even updating apps is a lot better now. In 4.2.2, my phone is unusable when updating apps. Not anymore.


UPDATE: Fancy Kernel Pre 37 tst 02/03 both won't load module. That means PGM won't work
Works with kernel included in Cataclysm and Faux kernel if PGM is a must

I wonder how much will cata be smoother than stock. Now on stock with fancy is already damn smooth leh !!

Ask you one question...

Press Recents, got delay? Mine after I restore all apps, got delay on Stock 4.3. On cata is almost instant.

Another thing... On 4.3, I use Nova gesture (swipe up) to open quick settings page, the animation is not smooth. On cata + default/fancy kernel it's totally smooth.

On stock, with my previous apps all restored, scrolling between pages will lag a bit, just like 4.2.2. On cata, it's much improved!


Last thing... On stock 4.3, I only felt that the battery is better. Other experience is just the same as 4.2.2, not much smoother.

You should try but no guarantee

On all stock got a bit delay when press recent ,scrolling through app drawer (nova) is smooth though.

But with fancy, recent is instant and app drawer scrolling is smooth & super fast!!

1 thing I like most about fancy is opening app speed is damn fast hehe

I didn't have the chance to try Fancy on stock. So maybe that's why I think it's lagging. Anyway, I enjoy Cataclysm + Fancy now. Seriously good!

Cataclysm is built from factory image (JWR66V), not AOSP (JSS15J) so... Gapps are included. Just look at the size of that ROM then you know. Nearly 300MB

I thought my phone crashed when flashing the pre-3 kernel from Fancy. It was loading so long. Now waiting for it to boot up again. Forgot to read the first post. :v

The fancy kernel thread states the standard version have PGM support. Is it only the test version that isn't supporting PGM or both doesn't support PGM?

Speed wise more or less similar to me but the customizability just after 3 days of 4.3 is more than enough!!

Erm... For test versions, there is only EXT version.
For previous Fancy kernel versions, both EXT and STD versions will support PGM.

He said he can actually make PGM to work in this version, Pre 37-tst02/03 but it's Google that disabled Module Loading for security reasons so he's trying to comply to rules set by Google. Something like that.

That's why PGM is not working.

So I think it's the stock kernel that slows down my experience on Stock 4.3. Faux kernel also doing no good. Only after flashing Cataclysm that I feels the smoothness in 4.3 possibly due to its kernel.

Btw... That dev is crazy right? Even Nexus 4 haven't get a featured rom like this, he already released one. He said he worked 30 hours straight to merge everything.

He didn't just simply merge them. Everything works and is close to perfect!!!

Backup using TWRP then can restore right?

What you mean only bootloader and recovery? Cannot get to boot animation at all?

Just flashed Cataclysm D But I don't feel much difference in fact I see some places sluggish compared to PA One very noticeable lag is switching between notifications and quick toggles. Typing this very message is also sluggish (

- Used the Android 4.3 zip file downloaded through OTA (yakju-JWR66V-from-.....zip) and flash using CWM.
- CWM shows error status 7.
- Followed this to remove all the 'assert' keyword from the zip file

now stuck at X.. haizz.. anyone knows how to fix?
