u guys should've tried cm 10.1 with halo. as smooth as catalysm. so not much smoother here for me.

Flashed to Cataclysm ROM for Android 4.3
one thing annoyed me is the notification bar icons.
previously prior to android 4.3 when Lightflow is running on backgroud there wont be any icon showing it is running on the notification bar. but now it will show up and cannot turn it off.

is this new for android 4.3 or only for this custom rom?
i cant find a way to turn it off.

Just start using this ROM for around 30 min. More or less about the same. Things I like is i can show network speed. And of cos the smart 3g. But not time try the smart 3g cause at home use unifi now. Another special is the smart dialing it show the other way....get use to traditional way already

Did u try going into settings,app, light flow and then disable show notifications?

just tried and the icon did disappear but at the same time lightflow notification does not work as it should.
normally i set to LED shinning colour when plugged in but now after untick the disable notification, the light does not lit anymore.

for all the previous version from ICS up to JB 4.2.2 I never bother to untick the "show notification setting", it never show anything on notification bar when it is running on background yet it is still working as it should.

any input for this?

It should only disable the notifications, im not sure why light flow stopped working normally for you, since i dont use it personally. Maybe its because of 4.3, strange stuff always happens with new firmware update

one thing i noticed is that although i untick the "show notification setting", upon reboot, the icon still shows up in notification bar. but when i go into setting and check again, the "show notification setting" remains unticked.

so i will have to tick it then untick it again for the icon to disappear.

anyway, each time i reboot the phone, the NOVA, COOL TOOL, and LIGHTFLOW app icons keep appearing on the notification bar. pretty annoying as they take up the space.

I guess we need to wait for app devs to update to 4.3 sources then.

Still not keen on flashing any of my devices yet.. I'll just wait for CM team to get cm10.2 released. By then some apps should already be updated.

actually a lot of apps have been updated to support 4.3, but still there is many have not yet

ok managed to download fully after 3hrs waiting i just changed the https to http..

now i'm trying to clean flash my nexus.. all my data and apps all gone

anyway successfully flashed stock android 4.3! yes not custom.. not the time yet to play with custom.. stock for compatibility and save further headache..

I'm guessing you're new to backups like Titanium Backup? Data loss won't be a problem.

i heard about it, but well i did managed to pull out files from my bricked phone using adb mode.. at least can save the files, just the phone configs and game saves gone..

ok now another problem.. how to root Android 4.3? heard chainfire rooting is not really complete.. or is it?

How do you remove in-built apps from Cataclysm? (e.g Google+, etc.) I have tried using TiBa. Doesn't seems to work.

If front door don't work u can always use the backdoor Hehe, just use any explorer with root, go to system\app and remove that particular app.

Remember to backup just in case u delete the wrong things .

If the above don't work u can try again from recovery time manager :-)

Are you sure? It's like 10 times smoother than any 4.2.2 ROM I've ever used. Totally lagless when pulling down status bar/quick settings. I'm not sure what keyboard you using but Kii is working perfectly fine, smooth as usual.

Try different port, cable, uninstall all driver and reinstall.
