i'm interesting with scirocco 1.4 and golf gti .. which better? in performance and value ? *sorry i dunno golf gti is 1.6 or 2.0 ...
*
Go with the Golf GTI. You get a powerful engine, and a less problematic gearbox (6-speed wet DSG gearbox)

30k service should be around RM500+
Normally the SA will give u a shock on the estimated cost but in fact it would be lower.

Good to know! Cos I was shocked when they told me RM800+. I was told spark plugs are to be changed too? Well it's another 5 - 6 months before I hit the 30k service!

Yes service interval for every VW vehicle is at 15,000km each time, and they give a leeway of 500km if you're off by the 15,000km mark each time - otherwise the warranty would be void.

I did my service at 14,700km just to be safe - and yes I would highly recommend for VW owner to make a booking at LEAST 2 weeks to a month in advance as they can get very busy. I was fortunate as the guy at CNB Auto (Old Klang Road) had a slot freed up and I had it done within a week. 1 hour job to get it done btw if you're early!

Every 15,000km is a service interval. 15k, 30k, 45k, 60k, 75k, so forth.

correct.....

estimate is higher but actual cost is lower...

of course it helps if u go through the list of items that is supposed to be due for service and u can take out those unnecessary items to keep your cost down....

make your consumer rights count...
know what u are supposed to pay for and what u have an option to not do...

Hi fellow golf mk7 owners,

Need help.. I just realised the cover is missing frm the passenger's side. But cannot recall if it was like that from the beginning. Could someone pls help to verify there is actually a cover there? I attached some pics below for ref.

Thanks again!

*crap.. The pics below are upside down

Interesting. I don't have that thing on my passenger side. Seem like a place to open the hood. That means you have both side? driver and passenger side?
