ATH M50 vs Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro?

I think I might be able to get the COP for RM600.
Not sure how much for the ATH M50.

Uses: Laptop and Ipod nano 7

Music: most genres including top 40, dance, pop, alternative, sometimes softer folk stuff or Asian music

Also sometimes for TV or Movies, but I have Harman Kardon Sounsticks ii for that, or big music listening. Bass from that thing is not a problem, the headphones are for blocking out sound (annoying neighbours etc) and still being able to listen to any kind of music comfortably and clearly.

COP has variable bass port, so you can set bass and clarity level for each usage, much more flexible than fixed sound M50

but then think of these as factors:
1. customise look
2. can add microphone by changing cable only
3. change sound by adjusting port
4. changing earpads easily

that's true, but maybe if you lived in Europe or the US

ordering the accessory plates or earpads from outside America or Europe can cost well over US$30 for just one!

in fact, neither the ATH M50 or the Beyer COP look particularly aesthetic or good to me

the AKG K271 MKII looks better, then the M50, then COP

COP without customs looks crap but the other things matter more after all good looking things like your speakers laptop ipod iphone they get old easily

hye, i need suggestion for best headphone under rm200. my current option is sennheiser Hd 419 and Audio Technica ATH-SJ55. any other option. which one sounds better? i'm more to bass and clarity.
*
For bass, try the Sennheiser HD202 and audio technica fc707.

Comparing Sennheiser HD 380 against the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro?

Which would be better on its own (no extra amps or anything) and plugged into a laptop for gaming & this range of genre music:
Rock / Progressive Electro / Orchestra / Techno / Metal / Classical

Note: Bass is very important
*
My vote will go for Custom One Pro, personally own it and the bass level is damn strong.

Your rig (iPhone, MacBook, iPad)
- What type of usage - For music
- File format used in your source - AAC Audio File, mp3
- Genre of music you listen to - Mainstreams (pop, RnB, country)
- Headphone/ earphone type - In ear earphones, or Headphones. Prefer in-ear
- Price range : < RM 400-500

Prefer earphones which can produce crisp clarity. No need so BOOM BOOM bass.
Please recommend! thank you! biggrin.gif
*
My recommendation will be Shure SE215 and Hippo ProOne

After being poison again .. now i'm currently eyeing W5000 instead of A2000X

Is it worth it?  hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

or it was different two world?  hmm.gif
*
It is huge different, however W5000 require expensive amplifier, why not consider the W3000ANV.

Maybe you can get from Jaben? It is faster and less hassle for warranty claim.

My Rig: Desktop PC
Type of usage: Voice chat(Skype & Hangouts)
Budget: RM100-200
Type: Headphone
Other requirements (if any): Prefer wireless. wired is OK as long as the cord is more than 3meter without extension.

I've tried few unknown brand headset but the mic was really lousy.

Expensive

I can buy ATH M50 for ~RM500 and Beyer COP for ~RM600, I am almost certain it costs several hundred more from them.

i think if you insist on the w5000, just go ahead
its better to go for end game headphone rather than upgrading step by step
but not everyone like how the w5000 sounds
the w3000anv on the other hand is a little easier to drive

headphone is one thing, think of the cost for amplification while at it, it will give you headaches for years to come
