just pay for the advertisement probably. its almost the same as most brands..haha
when i first bought, the colour of the apple juice was fine even after leaving for 1 hour. But recently, it oxidize in just 5 minutes.
I am not sure if it is this batch of apples or the machines. rclxub.gif

thank for the sharing. btw, i thought it have easy clean, by pour water into it (flush it) after you finish juicy....
*
i thought it would be easy too. maybe i didnt put enough water to cleanse it or maybe the unit is without rotating blade that make the cleaning not so easy.

The apple juice i made last two days is still good. i keep it in the fridge and drink it in batches - i dont like the smoothies-like texture, so i dilute some with water whenever i want to drink it. what i kept in fridge is the pure juice and i can see the top layer of the juice get oxidized - a bit brownish but not too bad. the taste no change

Is it really a good idea to keep the juice for 2 days after juicing ?
Oxidation is the reason why juice bars cropped up in the first place I believe - so consumption is almost immediate after juicing.

I make big batch per time and keep it in tight glass bottles. No tummy prob yet smile.gif

Should not be a prob though coz many people do it that way based on what i read in the net when searching for info about juicer machine

Yesterday tried the apple, but pulp not came out smooth. All stuck in auger sad.gif
After do cleaning (yes, have to clean first) and try the celery, not so bad to juice the celery compare to my previous slow juices.

Using Bayers SJ-20 from LZD is OK if the fruit pulp not building up & got stuck during juicing. Really need to cut into very small pieces.
Just wondering if Hurom 2nd generation slow juicer (40rpm) is better?

Only if you don't mind the cleaning after juicing with Bayers. Not sure about other brands.

Got a Bayer SJ-20 yesterday from LZD...With coupon discount it costed RM 288 (List price was 339). Have tried it twice since yesterday. Some quick thoughts :

- The quality of the parts look decent. The juicer looks nice overall with the steel body and blends into the kitchen well.

- It's good for juicing pulpy fruits. I haven't tried the greens yet.

- The juice has some residue of the pulp but I personally like the texture....You may need to strain it out further in case you are looking for extra smooth juice.

- One big difference in SJ-20 is that the Strainer cup does not rotate...I have no idea if it affects the juicing performance in any way. Infact the earlier model SJ-18 had a rotating strainer so not sure why it was discontinued. I somehow missed this point while buying the juicer as I thought it's a standard feature.

Welcome comments from the existing Bayer users,

Cheers

This is definitely a better choice than Bayers SJ-20, but not the price though.
Anyone using Hurom 2nd or 3rd generation slow juicer?

Pour water into flush it for easier cleaning after dismount,
Harom SJ still need to dismount and clean all the part 1 by 1.

I normally keep up to 3 days on fridge for all the juice.

If the fruit too soft, like fuji apple, it can easily stuck inside the auger,
Cause the bottom part that contain the dry fruit fiber is too hard to be push by the soft fiber.
So need to plan before SJ it.

Normally i can get 3L of grape juice with 4KG grape. Pure grape only will be too sweet to drink.

I wonder can put whole oranges without remove the skin to Slow juicer?
