Hi all,
Today while I was driving, my clutch suddenly became really hard to press. And when i pressed it all the way in, I heard a grinding sound, which is definitely not good!
I experienced a similar problem before last year and when I sent to the service centre, they told me the clutch had to be replaced. It was already very odd then, my car was purchased in February 2010 and I had to change the clutch in July 2012. Mileage was around 36k. I often rev the car to 5-6k rpm when engaging gear 1, so I thought that was the reason it worn out so quickly.
Ok after replacing, the problem comes back today in May 2013. I did not do that 5-6k rev on gear 1 throughout this whole time coz I was scared my clutch would burn out on me again. My mileage now is around 48k. I drive slightly faster than an average person, other than that I do not abuse my gearbox/clutch. Within 10 months and clocking around 12k km, it definitely does not seem normal to be replacing my clutch once more.
Car is a manual Proton Savvy btw.
Appreciate your help!
Update: Grinding sound has disappeared when I tried again hmm...
