First, to answer your question of other members complain. There are many Shawie owner having the problem, but didn't voice it out. Ayam having the problem, but knowing can't change the fact neither can I do anything about it. Might as well spend money do up other stuff on the car, instead of sitting here cry like a baby cry sky cry earth also kenot solve the heavy clutch issue.
Our clutch set usually around RM350 ~ RM500 depending on grades. Cheapest workmanship also will cost RM180, thanks to hypermount previous discovery went up North trip. Generally in KL, servicing clutch in Shawie labor would cost atleast RM300. So, ayam guessing Renautech quoted you RM700 for the clutch replacement. You pandai² make the decision. If you still decided to give it a shot, please proceed to change the clutch set then. Do take note to use different kind/brand/grade of clutch for your car, so you can compare which 1 can last you longer. Please let us know if you found any clutch set that can last you 50k mileage. I'd like to try it out
I have previously explained, the clutch cover is the main culprit that causes all other problem. In my opinion, it's a design flaw. It not only happened in Shawie, so as Renault Clio, Kangoo also having the same issue of 30tons truck clutch. There's no permenant cure for this, I even suspect our almighty AMT that always rosak also caused by the weaken clutch cover. Do take note, regardless manual or AMT, we share the same engine/gearbox. Only thing is, if you're using AMT, the robot go die fast. If you're using manual, your left knee joint pain
Lube it up will slightly ease the pedal action a little bit, but will not cure it in the long run.
w33wawa, I think your car last time also squeeking rite? Now is what? 1 month already since last service? Got come back or not?
