QUOTE(jason111785 @ May 11 2013, 03:54 AM) Custom rom enable use to use vol+ to wake the device Oh that's nice. But the bad part is, the volume buttons are harder to press than the lock button. Also, you can long press home/back button for menu.. so the 3 dot bar can disappear Still I hope there's support for Sweep2Wake which I'm using now on my Nexus 4. Just swipe to wake the phone. QUOTE(K1d0 @ May 11 2013, 09:21 AM) Android got another way to wakeup by using smart screen on, not sure require root anot. By just swiping thru your light sensor (*Depends how many time u set) you can wake your phone and unlock your screen. Hmm.. The proximity light sensor is not really practical to be used as such I think. Remember, even keeping your phone in the pocket is similar to swiping it. I could be wrong though. Maybe you could enlighten me. QUOTE(edthrax @ May 11 2013, 10:46 AM) 2nd day on using the fon.. I must say, this one of a beast htc has created. battery is a bit normal for me, I had longer battery on other phone. There's only ONE reason I stayed away from S4. It looks just like a S3 / Note 2, which is just lame. I've had Samsungs fon before(note 2,s3 , s4(for a day)) and I can htc one design will make Samsung phone feels like a toy. Another note, the phone packs a bit of weight. The HTC One, on the other hand, is like the rose among the thorns in the Android world. The metal build is similar to the iPhone 5, which is why Apple fans are all over it even though the screen just went bigger by 0.5". QUOTE(lordofvirtue @ May 11 2013, 11:12 AM) Exactly. This will make the HTC One extremely rare by then. Most people will go for the non-LTE S4 since it's so widely available. Samsung clearly has a tight grip in the smartphone market here. I still hope that the accessories market for HTC One will be much larger once the phone starts to be widely available nationwide. HTC does indeed started to make the phone's presence known to the masses thanks to the newspaper ads lately. Most people nowadays that got for TOP-END smartphones are tech-savvy or at least read online reviews. The HTC One is touted as BEST smartphone in most reviews even when pitted against S4. It's only a matter of time when HTC's supply catches up with overwhelming demand. But still, HTC's QC is crap, and HTC original warranty in Malaysia is pathetic (just reading their FB scares me). QUOTE(ArmedandDangerous @ May 11 2013, 01:08 PM) Yes, unless developers managed to S-Off the phone, therefore able to rewrite the HBOOT to restore it as stock. Yes, Am waiting patiently for S-Off to be out first! |

Hmm, not really haha...i used on my desire z, tested on few cases like moving my phone across paper, put in pocket and etc. It wont unlock, only when you use finger. If you use pro version, you can set more setting like sensitvity and etc.Still I hope there's support for Sweep2Wake which I'm using now on my Nexus 4. Just swipe to wake the phone. Hmm.. QUOTE(hussain @ May 11 2013, 03:26 PM) LOL. You are a bad influence to your dad. Looks like you have one big HTC One family! QUOTE(K1d0 @ May 11 2013, 03:36 PM) Hmm, not really haha...i used on my desire z, tested on few cases like moving my phone across paper, put in pocket and etc. It wont unlock, only when you use finger. Just got the first (and last one) from Sen Heng Batu Berendam Melaka. Quite a good deal, got RM50 rebate for SenHeng member plus RM40 vouchers to be used next month.
Opted for the extended warranty for an additional 3 years for RM165, the guy explained to me if there's a problem they can't fix within the warranty period, they'll issue a voucher for the purchase price of the phone. Sounds a bit fantastic, but the price seems pretty reasonable for 3 year warranty extension. Picked up a transparent melko case for RM49 too. |

Most online sellers don't even have stock (except Tskhor in Penang). Want to get one ASAP now. All SenHeng / SenQ branches have cases for sale? |
