hehe ... in fact i just tried my best to describe what i can only.  I skipped quite a lot of details already.  Coz i scared i will bored someone reading it.

And the dreamland that i mentioned i do uploaded the photo here.  And to get to the beach, we have to go into a guard house where we have to drive through a development area.  IF not mistaken, they are building that area for those Rich ppl coz there got Golf court and the houses there are bunglos .... Just like what we see in Tropicana here.  But toward the end of those housing are, we can reached the beached that i so called it DreamLand.

hey guy.....i will go to Bali soon....but still confusing about my trip schedule....coz i planing to play the river rafting n go to Lovina see Dolphin...kinda confusing now.....well, from wat u described, i think i manage to out all those places in my trip list..just not sure whether got enough time to visit or not...*sigh*

here is my schedule (roughly)
1st day
2pm reach Bali Airport n will proceed directly to check in our hotel (Masa Inn)
2.30-3.30pm leisure walk at Kuta n 3.30pm transfer to Uluwatu to see the sunset...then proceed to Jimbaran for our seafood dinner (iu not sure whether enough time or not, how long to take from Uluwatu to Jimbaran?)

2nd day
9am check out from hotel n proceed to Ayung River for River rafting.
1-2pm will check in in Ubud hotel (graha hotel)
3pm will visit to Kintamani, tegalalang...etc etc
7pm go for SPA (if the time allow)

3rd day
3am-4am depart from Ubud to Lovina for Dolphin (hope can reach there by 6am, how long its take from ubud to Lovina?)
8am...will come back from Lovina n heading to Bedugul, strawberry stop, n etc etc (any place to recommend here)
3-4pm maybe will go to Tanah Lot (no idea how to arrange the schedule for today)

last day
8am will go to Sukawati to buy souvenir n other stuff
12pm will check out from Hotel n go back to Kuta
3-6pm leisure walk at Kuta town

out flight is on 8.10pm, so wat time should i be in the air port??

hehehe... noob on the loose.. hey, was wondering.. if i just want to look see @ Bedugul & Tanah Lot how long does it take? i'm staying @ Hardrock Hotel.
What's the distance like from HRH to Bedugul and Tanah Lot? (i mean, which 1 is nearer to HRH?) And how far is it from Bedugul to Tanah Lot? hehe.. trying to plan my itinerary

oh yea, i'll go bedugul & tanah lot in the morning. I know its nicer to go during sunset but my schedule is very tight.. (plan to spend 1/2 day for Tanah Lot, Bedugul and if possible go Ubud for lunch) eg. 9am - 2pm then back to hotel cos want to dip in the pool/SPA.. heheh..

Also, any recommendation of babi guling nearby HRH? (sorry for the muslim friends) i heard the best is in Ubud.. how long it takes from HRH to Ubud then? will it be on the way if i want to go Bedugul, Tanah Lot & Ubud?

Please advice. Thanks in advance ppl.. smile.gif

I think ur trip is pretty good though ....
1st day should be fine and 7pm for a SPA is not too late provided you booked earlier so that u won't be dissappointed.
u can do almost all ur shopping at ubud instead and if not u will get dissasppointed if u plan a half day trip to Sukawati ... coz u don need that much of time where ubud is 3 times bigger that sukawati .... just ask anyone to drop u at ubud palace and opposite the ubud palace is the market alerady.
If flight at 8:10 PM then i will advice u to leave kuta the latest by 6:30 pm lo .... ur flight and mine is the same ... but i left kuta at 6:00 pm ... then had our dinner at the Mc D in airport and then rest over there because me n my gf was so extremely exhausted during the last day.

Tanah Lot is about 35KM from HRH or about 1 hr by car (Stop & go traffic- jam & avg 50-60km/hr only)..Bedugul is about 60KM from Kuta and is about 1.45-2hr journey going hilly roads..Kintamani (A must!) is about 70KM away...in between Tanah Lot to Bedugul is about 40KM away or 1.25hr OTR..so plan ur trip....I suggest on 1st day:

Bedugul - early Morning about 9am - by 11am reach Tanah Lot & therafter towards Uluwatu ~2pm, Nusa dua 4pm & bck to nusa Dua at 5:30 pm for spa

2bd day go towards Kintamani , Tegalalang & bck to Ubud or Sukawati for shopping

Was in Bali on July 2007. Stayed in Kuta Paradiso Hotel, Kuta(its either 3 or 4 stars)...very clean and friendly staff. Kuta beach experience was amazing..especially for waves and sunset worshippers...shopping there is good too, if you know how to get around, a Kuta map from your hotel lobby is sufficient. Went for a head to toe Spa treatment too which include a feet massage, full body massage, lulur, body mask, and soaking in tub (a couple's package)...Booked the air tickets thru airasia from Rm1005 (2 pax) then the ground package for rm900(2pax) - which includes accommo, full day tour,2 1/2 spa Got the ground package thru pyotravel.com .....enjoyed ourselves. Would be going back there again..hopefully soon for the surfing of course =) and....not to forget...the weather there is way more cooling than here.

Hope you'll enjoy yourself too.

Well, it's all depending on you. If u like something unique such as the Hindu culture in Indonesian society, ancient hindu history which is diff from India, beautiful sceneries of Volcanoes, rice fields, high cliff 7 crazy wave, then it will be your best Holiday..but if u are the type prefer more modern shopping, urban shoppings & etc..u will be bored...I enjoy my Bali trips alots and make it 2nd times within 2 years. But my sister din enjoy it and feel so boring..she preferred Taipei!..So diff ppl, diff taste....

Ubud is in between Denpasar & Bedugul or Kintamani....it is about 30KM from HRH..Reason why Tanah lot further bcos u need to turn left towards West coast after a junction on Northern side of Kuta..in Seminyak, Ubud u just keep on to the Northern side & enter & out of Denpasar outskirt b4 reaching Ubud. Further from Ubud is mountaneous regions which will lead u either to Bedugul or to Kintamani (Diff roads from Ubud)..Actually another alternative will be going to Kintamani early in the Morning, from Kinatamani cross over to Bedugul then to Ubud & Tanah Lot....Very long journey & by the time u reach Tanah Lot it will be dark oledi... biggrin.gif BTW just a reminder in Bali Sunset start at 5PM & by 5:30-6PM it is totally dark! & sunrise at 5:30am-6am.so if u can wake up early & start ur journeyt as early as possible!

Aaah...I just got back from Bali! Finally join the club of those of who have experienced Bali!
I miss it already. The weather was surprisingly cooler than here. At night the breeze is sometimes chilly. You'll never get that eating outdoors at our mamak!
I used Pak Gede as recommended. Not bad. Rp400k for a full day, Kijang. Jootat, was what car did u use for ur trip? U sure you would recommend ur driver over pak gede? I might try it next time if cheaper.

So, I went to Taman Ayun, Bedugul, the monkey place, and finally tanah Lot on the first day. Bedegul and Tanah Lot are must-sees I believe. Oddly, the pura in Bedugul was smaller than I expected. Looked much bigger in the pictures. I went for a boat ride around the lake. Costs Rp80k for a speedboat. But you must go in the morning/mid-day. Otherwise it gets too foggy. As we were leaving the whole place was shrouded with mist.
Next day was mostly Ubud, for shopping and sightseeing. I also visited several museums. Pecutatan or somthing like that has some interesting architecture. Its the place where the royal family committed mass suicide rather than surrender to the Dutch.

I actually stayed in Kuta most of the trip. Kuta as you know is great for surfing etc but I wouldn't recommend it for families. I managed to see a lot of hot surfer chicks n topless sunbathers. brows.gif My mother wasn't too impressed with it. Made a mistake of booking a hotel called Dewi Sri Hotel along jln Legian near Ground Zero. Dirty and noisy rooms. yawn.gif I had stayed in Sahid Hotel for a week before my family came. The hotel was reasonable. Right in front of the beach but nothing too fancy. On my last day we moved to Holiday Villa Sanur. Much cleaner and better I think. Oh, I think people should stay in Ubud if have a chance. One nice hotel is Royal Prita Maha. Beautiful.

Places to eat.. Halal food was a concern for me. The hotels are rather inconsistent with their halal policies, except for Holiday Villa which is malaysian owned. So, where did I eat? I ate at Padang food, and mostly Pizza Hut. McD and KFC were doh.gif the chicken is so oily and not nice. And more expensive than KL. Discovery mall has some halal food in the food court but its a lil pricy compared with home.

Well, back to reality......

And probably u can cathc a bus ride to Gilaamuk Port & catch a ferry trip to Banyu Wangi, Java Timur & arrange a trip to Mt Ijen...The famous Sulfur mine....& experience the true active volcano there..... rclxms.gif I miss this if u read my earlier travelogue sad.gif sad.gif

Yeah, I got this free 8D voucher from joining a vacation club. smile.gif

Me and my bf prefer a relaxing holiday so dun wanna go to too many places during our stay. We have hired a driver for 3 full days..so the rest, we'll be on our own. Your suggestion is ideal, but maybe we'll go to Mt Ijen during our next trip.

All my friends who are planning to go to Bali include Lovina in their itinerary. The thing is there's not much feedback abt Lovina from this forum. Was wondering whether anyone been there to watch dolphins before?

Must be the pricing... biggrin.gif If I'm not mistaken very pricy, hv to wake up early in the Morning ~3AM/4Am hmm.gif , far (~120KM away) & no guranttee u can see Dophin....These facts put off my plan on both my Bali trips.

Another of my failed achivement is taking a 4hr boat ride to Lombok Island to see one of the Tallest & biggest Volcano in Indo- Mt Rinjini...probably u can try....Not cheap also..

My Rp400k was inclusive of petrol but not entrance fees..ie. those ticket u have to pay to enter the temples etc. If jootat's is incl. of petrol...then next time i'll surely use his!

I didnt find much at sukawati.. its cheap yes, but no quality. Shopping at Ubud is much better. I suggest you go there. Btw, where is the Quiksilver factory outlet? Never found it. I looked at all the shops and they were about same price with here.

Yes, actually he only charge me Rp 240,000 but i gave him Rp 250,000 for both day .... and it was a van, can fit 7 ppl with no problem, then the price is inclusive of petrol smile.gif .... i really think ur Rp 400,000 is a bit expensive ....
