actually i did hear about the cheaper exchange rate in Bali compared to Malaysia.
but i did exchange my rupiah here, in Ipoh.
rate's about RM3.65 = 10,000 rupiah.
in KL it was slightly better, about RM3.63 = 10,000 rupiah.

but i saw at the airport, it's written RM rate being 2.40.
hmm .... didnt ask how they calc though.

ya, as i told, it was my own experience.

now is roughly 1/3 of our money (ignore the last 000). Means Rp100,000 = RM33, this is for quit conversion when shop in Bali.

ask ppl who just came back from bali, they shld know the latest rate.

Is it safe to ride a bike in Bali? I ride scooter bike in Phuket and all day only cost us RM20 only.. How bout in Bali?

Yes it's safe IF you don't break the law. Or you'll get saman for RM30

hi all~ jus bac from bali yesterday~ before this, I planned to cancel my bali trip due d earthquake n tsunami foresee but im lucky dat I din cancel my trip. It’s reli such a fool if I cancel my trip.kekeke.

Here r some recommendation~ highest recommendation~!!!:
1) Ubud Stay – Hibiscus Cottages at Jln Bisma
The room are super super clean and bath tub r provided. The paddy view around d cottages r awesome and the air is cool n refreshing n we can sleep without the fan turn on (no aircond). The room r divided to grd flr n upper flr with pent house (For more info bout d room, pls refer to pslee thread - we stay in Room B ^^). Besides that, we love their breakfast loads. It was reli reli nice. Can contact him thru email n tel him recommended by Doreen^^

2) Driver – Wayan Suparta
Alto he’s on holiday now but he still make up 1 day to fetch us thru our 5D trip. He bring us to his house after our trip ended on dat day and treat us drink coffee n coconut. He oso let us drive his Harley Davidson (not d real one >.<) and bring us to round round his hometown using motorbikes. It was really a nice experience to know more bout their living style and to get nearer to the local ppl. We reli enjoy it.
The rest of our trip is fetch by his worker, Mr Badrah. He’s also a nice guy. On the last day of our trip, we exceed the max time of the trip but he din charge us. He tell us to enjoy ourself n dun worry bout d time & money. He oso din recommend any shop o seafood shop as done by most of d driver, he jus follow where we wan to go. He’s reli a nice guy.

3) Sunset seafood dinner – Lia Café
The seafood taste really nice and cheap. But I wan to mention here is the service their provided. We order Package A which included 500g fish, 500g squids, 7pcs clam & 7pcs prawn which cost IDR180k included rice, soup, 2 coconut drinks n salad (for 2 person). Thy r 4 of us but because we r short in cash dat time so we order oni 1 set but whn d food r delivered to us, we are surprised to find dat thy give us extra 1 pcs of clam n 1 pcs of prawn to make it 8 pcs so dat we can divide it among us 4 without extra charge!!! They are really thoughtful. The portion r quite big and the worry bout not enough for 4 of us is reli nonsense as at d end we all r reli full n fully satisfied with this seafood dinner.


The stay in Ubud n d superb driver let us enjoy our bali trip to its fullness

it is safe but not recommended as d road there r quite small n narrow. U will easily get lost and d journey frm 1 location to another location may take times too. I recommended u hired a driver n u can rest in d aircond car after tired journey as d weather in Bali is super super hot^^

how much Pak Wayan charged for his service per day?

i stayed in Yulia Beach resort, went last year Jan, that time per night was US$27. location very good, few minutes walking distance to kuta beach & surrounded with shops, very convenient if u like shopping. i booked online that time. try to search some useful sites to compare the room rates & most important is the comments from their guests.

350k for full day (10 max hrs) & 250k for half day (5 max hrs)

How much did we need to pay bali airport tax when we going back to Msia? My flight is by AA

150k/person ^^

There are positive reviews, and equally disappointing ones about this eatery in Ubud of Bali.

Skeptical, we went for a dinner (reserved a day before, because the smoked duck needs to be prepared in advance) and the meal was one of our more memorable ones in Bali.

but my fren say not safe to travel far coz of the indonesians attacking malaysians..
soi guess i will be staying in kuta the whole of next week..
i guess it wont be so boring in hard rock hotel..
