QUOTE(Sup2Nic @ May 3 2013, 01:02 PM) this is what lighter colors will look like*the white keycap is an example of light colors basically any light color keycaps you choose, the led will shine through, note that the LED produces a big dot on the keycaps, they are more visible in real life. ![]() and note that dark colors - red, black on the keyboard, the lights wouldnt shine through, and would produce neon-light effect instead, they look better when your room is dark.. so unless you always play in a very dark room, it won't be that noticeable. ![]() This post has been edited by kyrmian: May 3 2013, 03:03 PM |

I need some buying advise/suggestions from this group :-
Currently using a very old MX blue keyboard I found in my store room, still works great!!!... to give you an idea how old is the keyboard, it have a switch for 8088/80286 at the back... haha I wanted the following features :- - LED backlit for night time gaming... ( red or blue ) - MX red or MX brown ( MX blue is too noisy ) I filtered down my brands/models to either CM Storm or Ducky... Should I get the :- CM Storm Quickfire TK MX Red/ RED LED, RM339 Like the CM Storm TK keypad innovation/design and low price ( dun like the MX brown with white LED ) or Ducky Channel DK9087 Shine 2, MX Brown/ Blue LED, RM429 Like the Ducky for MX Brown + blue backlit Is the RM100 extra worth it to go for the Ducky ? Are all MX switches the same quality ? ( feels a bit guilty to spend more than RM400 on an extra keyboard!!! ) Can use the extra $$$ for an armrest/accessories... |

TK is a solid board, and once you get used to the numpad block, it's really a nice keyboard to use. Shine 2, well it's a good board for its price. Typing on one right now. It all comes down to your switch preference and budget. Have you tried MX Red and Brown yet? |

QUOTE(Yagami5159 @ May 3 2013, 04:33 PM) even if someone made one, it won't look good on Cherry MX keyboard, since there is only one LED hole on the switch, you will only see the lighting on one side.well anyway, the keycap on the Alienware board doesn't looks good to me to begin with. |
