QUOTE(dannygeni @ Feb 15 2014, 06:32 PM) The Titan itself is a DAP while the AK10 is a DAC/amp for mobile phones or comp. The AK10 only takes USB in while the Titan only give analog or optical out. Both can't work together |

Paid for the Red Wine Audio mod. Still looking around for amps to pair with the AK120 Titan besides the amps that I currently own. Anymore suggestions? And any one got any experience with the RWA mod?

QUOTE(joshuachew @ Feb 15 2014, 10:04 AM) Your ALO Mk3-B?QUOTE(widget @ Feb 15 2014, 02:00 PM) Size-wise, the RSA SR-71B is almost the same dimension as AK120. Yeah, M8 is goo if not the size. I like that they use the 4 pin XLR.So if you stack it, still looks quite nice. The Intruder is a bit longish though. The Vorzuge on the other hand is a bit short, but almost the same width. If size is not priority, Centrance M8 is a good choice QUOTE(joshuachew @ Feb 16 2014, 08:58 AM) Paid for the Red Wine Audio mod. S or B?If B can make use of the balance input of the ALO Mk3-B. Fully balanced input to output. |

AK120 Titans have arrived:
Had a very brief listen to it and now they're back in the box and on the way to Red Wine Audio to get the mods done. They sound glorious. |

Or you can consider my AK100MK2 I am planning to use it with Pandora Hope VI Big difference between the normal AK100 with AK120 is the output impedance making AK100 less user friendly with IEMs. Besides that storage space is slightly bigger on AK120 and better soundstage and airier. AK100MK2 has the same output impedance as 120 and is tuned similarly with 120 as well. Sound quality is similar to 120 with the 120 soundstage more noticeable when hooked up to speakers. DX50 is really good for the price, best if you can test them all before deciding. You can consider X5 as well when it's out here. |
