how to focus for panning shot like that? isit agak2 when the car is in the frame or "follow" the car from far? :/

100% approval rate.. if didn't approve let me know haha you will be the 1st!

What I do is set it on AF-C 3d tracking..

Follow the car on far and release shutter where I want to compose the car!

1) set camera to 3D tracking
2) set autofocus drive to AF-C
3) Aperture lowest (f/5) and shutter speed about 1/100? <-- cant confirm
3) focus on car make sure the focus point 1 step ahead
4) snap and pan

Can Any pro /sifu confirm the above?

I'm just a newbie >_< that Super GT was my first and only time shooting in SIC track. We have different style of shooting hehe, I need to learn from you!

You can see my settings on the EXIF on Flickr Rule of thumb, use Shutter priority and set speed according to panning effect needed.

Lower shutter - MORE panning effect (blur background), LESS sharp area of subject (depending on movement), LESS chance of nailing the shot
Higher shutter - LESS panning effect, MORE sharp area of subject, MORE chance of nailing the shot

OF COURSE, shutter don't go up to like 1/1000s or so... that will just end up as a PARKING shot... Imagine, NISMO GT-R stopping in the middle of the track? Rosak ah?

3) Use Shutter priority

TTA not sure, Super GT, Moto GP etc cannot bring to grandstand... they want earn money mah...

Young gals nowadays really like taking self portrait, whatever pose also can see

bacause it looks very similar, but then it might be fake case too

You'll definitely have fun! Once you walk in the paddock, lets say you're facing the spectators seat, turn right and that's the first turning, try walking down till you reach the 3rd / 4th turning! You could pan with the malaysian flag as the background!

Can bring anything in, they don't check bag 1.. this is kinda casual for everyone, just remember don't be a smart ass and stand at the road and put your life and other people's life in danger! Stay safe!
