Many of my friends caught this bull farting flames, but then I was too busy camping at areas for me to shoot the GT-R head on for dual flame ._. no chance to see this flame since its at the back T_T

hi guys, i'm thinking of getting the Nikon D7000 or the D7100, but cant make up my mind, is the extra MP and focus points worth it?
i'm an amateur photog, nothing serious yet... but thinking of taking it a step ahead.
my main field of interest in photography are landscapes, portraits and also thinking of doing some low light photography ( star trails etc)
thank you

For the extra MP , not worth it. For the af points, worth. Haha..well d7100 more suited for sports . Bt if u just shoot landscape, even the d3200 can shoot vy good photos..

Another reminder is, the higher the MP (pixel density) the less forgiving the sensor is.

Higher MP sensor needs better glass, faster shutter speed! Based on my experience with 36MP and 12MP.

thanx for the reply guys.... yes i do realize with a high Mp dslr ill need better glass.. its one of the main reason that i am not thinking of getting a full frame so that ill be able to buy some better glass for the camera i get...

not getting one of the low end models cause of build quality and think the higher models might have better light metering not sure on that would be great if u guys could guide me on that.. smile.gif

Most of the "better" glass are FF anyways, only a few of the DX only lens are considered good I guess namely the DX King 17-55.

+1, especially if one is planning to upgrade to FX in the future
Getting a good DX lens is only a good idea if there is no intention to upgrade to FF

How about a 24-120 F4? drool.gif

Same issue as 24-70 on crop... 24mm just doesn't cut it. Last time I decided to buy 16-35 for my D90 while pending FF upgrade... the lens was practically crappy ._. regretted until I upgraded to FF.
