PNB already took over the helm of SP Setia.

High chance they use their influence to Pasarana

True true...but dont forget that EPF (shareholder of PLUS Malaysia) wont be happy if there is a competing route to the existing toll plaza...

caught in between dilemma... LOL...

On a side note...if the line is to serve Setia Alam and go straight down to Port Klang...it might defeats the purpose of serving the residents of Shah ALam...because of the alignment issue...my 2.2 cents

While nothing has been confirmed as the line is in planning stage...

SPAD map indicates the line may follow highway for most part.

Huh??

If switch train like this, I am very sure no people will take public transport from Kota Kemuning to Port Klang..

Even to KL also.. the commute time is simply too long..  icon_idea.gif

Bro, don't be unreasonable. Even in Japan I am sure plenty of people switch train. If everyone want to go to anywhere with just 1 train ride, how many LRT, MRT they need to build? Not even possible la.

Provided if the transfer can be done on the same island platform, line transfer will not be a problem.

It would be helpful if KTM and Prasarana ticketing system link up too.

Setia Alam township is very big.
When started they put a target of 20years to fully develope the available land.
Now half way already and yet it's potential still not yet fully utilize.

PLUS still happy coz now days the vehicle's pass thru Setia Toll is constantly increase

I didnt say 1 train ride..

But then why would I want to switch train at Kelana Jaya to go to Port Klang?

It is like taking KTM train at Shah Alam but your destination is Bandar Tasik Selatan.. icon_idea.gif

Agree with you - I was looking at the houses in Setia Alam before...RM630k for a ds link house...

in the end we decided not to go for it considering the distance to city centre and the connecting roads in...but nevertheless it is a great township to live in

Will have to see the transport consultant/SPAD final comment on the alignment...

As Kampung pointed out...the initial alignment was pretty much based on the NKVE alignment - ridership model was done and justified based on that alignment and found out that is feasible from 2030 onwards

The proposed LRT3 alignment comes together with a series of connecting buses to the key centre... not sure if there is any /k living in Shah alam got household interviewed during the period of 2011/2012

That interview was meant for this LRT3

Aside from LRT, Shah Alam residents will also enjoy new BRT lines.

Prasarana currently has 3 rail lines.

If MRT 1 done, that will be 4.

If LRT 3 done, that will be 5.

Sooner, our KL rail network will be as good as Madrid, London, Paris....Barcelona.

If follow highway, then might as well 'abolish' KTM.

Here is a repost of the line I made that may be considered properly. More to come.

And instead of Port Klang as final destination, they should consider Bukit Tinggi as the final stop too. Or Pandamaran.

Don't think they can abolish the KTM...they are still operating but with few least-frequent station closed down...so that the travel time will be fasten up... those were the suggestion given to SPAD by the transport consultants

KTM serves more established parts of Klang/Shah Alam.

LRT 3 going to serve new areas, such as recently developed Bukit Jelutong all those. From SPAD map, it seems they are thinking of ELITE (NKVE) alignment.

Nice attempt on the map! wink.gif
