Isn't PutraHeight the midway point for the LRT extension project? Now with this proposed, all you need to do is to take the LRT from Putra Heights, switch train at Kelana Jaya and you can reach Port Klang.
*
Huh??

If switch train like this, I am very sure no people will take public transport from Kota Kemuning to Port Klang..

Even to KL also.. the commute time is simply too long.. icon_idea.gif

Bro, don't be unreasonable. Even in Japan I am sure plenty of people switch train. If everyone want to go to anywhere with just 1 train ride, how many LRT, MRT they need to build? Not even possible la.
*
I didnt say 1 train ride..

But then why would I want to switch train at Kelana Jaya to go to Port Klang?

It is like taking KTM train at Shah Alam but your destination is Bandar Tasik Selatan.. icon_idea.gif

If follow highway, then might as well 'abolish' KTM.

Here is a repost of the line I made that may be considered properly. More to come.

Because there is no plans to build MRT from Putra Heights to Klang...

If that is the case, most will prefer car/taxi over LRT/MRT.. icon_idea.gif

Did you read KL traffic will be reduced to 10km/h during traffics jams as car usage grows?

Edit - Source : Kampung
*
But still no point..

If I stay in Sri Muda and Kota Kemuning, I will need to drive my car to nearest station Putra Heights/Tmn Megah??

But then I still have to jam from Sri Muda to Tmn Megah via Kesas -> HICOM..

Okay given that I have alternative station at USJ, I still have to drive to USJ station and park there, but then I jam at Kewajipan interchange for 30 mins??

So tell me what is the point of taking LRT at Putra Heights and USJ, when I still have to start jam at my area already, reach LRT station have to find parking, and when on board LRT, I still have to pass through Kelana Jaya and then only can go to KL.. sweat.gif

Sorry bro, misunderstood, thought you live at Putra Heights.

Oh well, bad luck for you to live so far from the planned station. Hope government build more MRTs, but PR have not promised any MRT.
*
Opps.. lolx

I really hope they could at least plan a station for each major township or maybe 2/3 townships could share a station..
Bus serve to bring the resident from the same township to the designated LRT/MRT station instead..

In my opinion, BRT really pointless, unless they are going to build elevated path or underground for BRT..

You see the major causes of highway/road congestion, is mainly due to poorly design of road infrastructure and user driving behavior.. icon_idea.gif

If the line routes along Persiaran Kayangan, it can serve both Section 7, as well as near I-City. Plus, UITM will also be covered.

MBSA plan has always focus on UITM as one of the potential stop for future LRT line.

It's hard for Setia Alam to get LRT directly, if we base the alignment like this, as Setia Alam is way up north.

Like this then can be covered up setia alam.. lolx

Actually Setia Alam more like middle to high income area... most of residents there mostly will opt to drive rathe rthan taking Public transport. The ideal stn if wanna closer to Northern SA/Klang should be in Meru & Klang Sentral area rather than Setia Alam

middle and middle high income people cannot take public transport meh?? brows.gif

1 interchange is OK
2 interchange bearable but tiring
3 interchange onwards...........we are not travelling from Penang all way to JB
*
I noe it is tiring for current LRT interchange station in KL.. have to walk very far..

But if have proper integration, we can make interchange easier..

For example, when the train arrive at interchange station, you just need to walk to opposite platform to change train instead of walking up and down the stairs..

And it could be possible to synchronize the train arrive time and depart time, so when we want to switch line, no need to wait for another train to arrive.. icon_idea.gif

Hmm, I think middle and middle high income is okay with public transport bah..

And their children also can learn to take LRT and Bus.. brows.gif

In SG HK, I see even 7 year old children take bus/lrt to school without parent escorting.. brows.gif
