QUOTE(miaopurr @ May 30 2013, 11:42 AM) out of saddle + hands in the drops = sprinting kaw2 not necessary for sprinting only mar...sometimes just want to vary and change position a bit...like when u wanna sprint away from vinann? QUOTE(yolk @ May 30 2013, 11:47 AM) sometimes can overhear girls in cafe comparing notes as to which wax centre is better for brazilian lol you should join in the discussion...QUOTE(yolk @ May 30 2013, 11:47 AM) there's one that's being sold (2nd hand) bar,100mm stem + ultegra 6600 flightdeck shifters. Still contemplating but worried about longevity of carbon bars especially when 2nd hand the OS35 carbon is quite a stiff bar... as long as they did not crash it.. should be safe...but still better to jus stick with conventional bars lar... the weight saving is not that much anyways... the best way is actually to go test ride people's bike with diff bars lar... that is the only way to find out how the bars work on the bike... and wat complicates shit up is also what shifters you use... Shimano, SRAM and Campy all favors one shape over the other... sometimes it is about the reach of the hood, sometimes it is about transition from the bars to the hood... especially SRAM where you can feel certain bars not really smooth... that is why SRAM Red 2012 includes a silicone pad that helps to smooth out the transition... apart from scott OEM bar, i've used 3 different brands/models.
1. ritchey wcs logic II its drop and reach quite big to my liking. but the top is quite comfy. 2. deda newton not as comfy as the ritchey. a bit painful when riding on rough road. maybe the diameter was smaller than the ritchey, maybe it was stiffer. 3. PRO plt compact very compact. suits my geo. but still not as comfy as the ritchey but not as bad as deda. This post has been edited by miaopurr: May 30 2013, 12:13 PM |

QUOTE(butthead @ May 30 2013, 12:30 PM) i like the ritchey's too.. but haven't try them yet... still trying to hunt down a easton handlebar no longer in production.. if there's a ritchey bar with short reach, i'd get it.QUOTE(butthead @ May 30 2013, 12:30 PM) i had the pro plt compact as well.. the grey ones right? the shape more or less feels the same as the deda RHM2 i have now but i think the shimano is a wee bit more shallow... RHM 75 reach 128 drop. and the transition from top to the drop starts early. so with deda u get less straight length at the tophttp://www.pro-bikegear.com/publish/conten...ode-PRHAPL.html QUOTE(butthead @ May 30 2013, 12:30 PM) the last one to try is the cinelli... they made a version where the top sweeps back into the rider... if you want a closer feel when you ride in the saddle while climbing... i think that is a good bar... but only made them in anatomic shape and quite deep if i remember correctly... ritchey got something similar. evocurveThis post has been edited by miaopurr: May 30 2013, 12:38 PM |

... Choosing the wrong accessories... A noob's mistakes.
1) I deployed a cateye Rear light on my seat post, but the fastener knob (too thick) gets in my way of paddling and brushing against my thigh. Looking for an alternative rear light. 2) my ultegra front derailleur cage chain rubs when I am on the following front / rear gearing 53-25;23 and 39-11;12T (hate the rubbing sound and wears out the chain if prolong used), as a result, I have been avoiding those specific gear ratio. Is it possible to solve the issue with the SRAM Red Fd with yaw by swapping it out? .... or do I have a better alternative? |

Same issue as well with my Tiagra, i just avoid doing the big-big, small-small combination.
