Ok, update done. All data remain intact. So far, phone restarted twice as required by the update.

** UPDATE **

After phone reboot twice, phone start to download updates... now at 67%. Will leave it alone connected to charger.

finally u guys received OTA update?

After update, mine 1 is 1249. I thought is 1308 ???

And now it makes another update. OMG

1248/1249 is portico. the 1308 is the second one, still under portico but not GDR2.

Small problem here.
During youtube or gaming, i set the speaker volume quite low. After that i have to manually raise up the volume so that i hear my ringtone during incoming calls/sms.
Is there any way around that? Like separating the call tones and app tones volume?

You're welcomed! Yeah I use a casing, got a few actually. Have hard back covers which were cheap but a bit disappointing, got the official Nokia cover which still attracts dirt too fast. Then I got the Rock hard cover & have been using it since.

There are so many!!! Haha! 1st place is check Nokia Collection, they have more apps there. Then just browse around you'll see lots of other apps. Also, since the reviews are plentiful in US region, it's easy to judge if an app is good or not by reading the reviews.

Nope, not until MS fixes this on OS level.

Any pre-portico users can tell me whether the OTA updates the firmware as well? Can you update to 1308 (from pre-portico)?

Hi,

The first update will bring your phone to portico level. Once that is done, check the "phone update" that should then offer you the upgrade to 1308.

I have done that this morning from pre-portico. But you must be patient for the upgrade from pre-portico to portico to complete. The install will be stuck at "Preparing to install 100%" for a good 15mins or more.

True.. I always read the reviews 1st before downloading any apps.. Is there any task manager app for wp that can use to kill background app?

Also, do you guys have any problem connecting with your wifi? I got problem with mine, it can't detect my wifi but it able to detect my neighbor's.. I restarted both my 920 and router several times but the problem still persist. There are similar complaints in nokia discussion but there seem no real answer.

sounds more like the router is the problem.
