Hi all, i have found another eye specialist that can do a great job for custom femto lasik in klang valley, RM 7380 for 2 eyes.

Preliminary test is free, if proceed to do full test with Belin/Ambrosio test then pay rm250 only, and its fully reimbursed on surgery day.

Then free 1 year follow up post lasik.

If interested, please pm me.

If your eye power is not high, can do standard femto lasik and its only RM 4380 for 2 eyes.

The eye centre accepts most credit cards EPP easy payment plan.

no, is better you do it after your eye power stable for at least 2 years so its much lower chance to have any change in power after lasik.

I see I see. Well, nothing lasts forever. So if there's huge power change in the future, can still do Lasik, or have to opt for wearing contact lenses ?

ICL is the best vision. Better than lasik. Better than femto. Always go for icl if can afford it. And it doesn’t alter ur cornea significantly.

Lasik old tech (got a lot of safety and long term data ) is predictable, can do custom based on ur eyes and can do easy touch up since flap will always be there. Got new upgraded custom scanning machine able to scan and use AI for increased customisation since outcome is very predictable. Increase risk of dry eyes

Femto, new tech (no long term data ) takes longer healing time, variability in targeting.Cannot do custom (though some claiming got custom but it’s fake news ) and if need to do touch up, then need to fall back to prk.

If the power increase a lot, then you can go for lasik enhancement.

After lasik your eyes are very dry, need to get a good contact lens.

I think your last paragraph is referring to Relex Smile, not femto.

Yes ure right. Zeiss used femto for their Reflex smile create lenticule to shape stromal bed. End of this year there will be another company with their femto for a similar procedure and they will name it something else. Femto can also be used for the early steps of cataract surgery.

Also one thing that no one tells you is that once they reshape ur cornea today. In 20 or 30 years time when u need to do cataract surgery the surgeon would need to know ur original K readings. Please keep that data or not they will have to use formulas to guesstimate

Icl doesn’t have all these problems. True HD vision, less chance of dry eyes risk, no long term issues. But pls do get the original icl and get a good dr. No promo promo.

Has anyone undergone Lasik twice?
I had mine done in 2006 but my right eye has deteriorated slightly.
And I was told that my corneas were thick enough to re-do the procedure if needed.

Age may now be a factor (late 40s) and I've finally started experiencing long-sightedness as well.
Can anyone recommend an experienced specialist I could consult?

You are at the age where cataracts will soon devolop.
Forget about Lasik, just get the IOL swap done.

Anyone here did ICL that can share experience?
Want to see is it common encounters or i have additional complication.

I did it one month ago, and the vision is not so clear during 1st month. Eg watching tv is okay, but not 100% sharp. Working using laptop is really challenging, cannot even see clearly the excel file.

Now coming into 2nd month, vision is still not clear, but i do feel it is improved compare to 1st month. Also consult Dr Ainur earlier, he said i have dry eyes complication (which isn't common) so now i am using those eyedrops purchase over the counter.

my gf did the ICL and not 100% sharp for the first few months after surgery.
on the 5th month, suddenly she felt so sharp even the astig reduced compare with post surgery reading.
now her condition so much stable, she did the surgery last Nov.

guess it's not uncommon, give your eyes some times to get used to it maybe.

hi, ICL vision recovery need longer time compared to femto lasik. Will take few months averagely to gain fully sharp vision. Remember to keep putting eye drop if its dry and blur, take care.

Thanks for sharing.
Guess i underestimate the effect of post recovery period. Not able to see clearly the laptop and phone are really challenging in my line of work.
I am also worried did i get "lou fa" earlier due to this procedure when this happened.

Have been putting 2-3 times per day for those OTC eyedrops.
The pharmacist advise not to use too much per day, and should not use more than 1 week.
Is it okay to use more frequent on daily basis, and use for long term (i assume the post recovery period of 6 months need?)

Earlier Dr Ainur prescribed eyedrop was every 4 hours. But i am concerned that there will be difference between OTC eyedrops vs the prescribed one.

what kind of eyedrop the pharmacist sold to you?

all lubricating eye drop can be used frequently and more than 1 week especially those displayed on the counter or rack. unless you get those with medication or steroid, then you need to follow instruction on the user manual.

eye clinic usually prescribe vismed or systane for dry eyes.
