That means my chances are slim man. how disappointing. just wonder, since the fees for the MBBS and BDS course @ AIMST is really affordable, would it be crazy if after my a-levels i realise i was not acccepted to either the MBBS or BDS course, i apply for the foundation programme instead and just do another 1 year foundation so that i may get a seat @ for the MBBS or BDS programme? i know it sounds really crazy but wat do u guys recommend? I really wanna hear from current AIMST MBBS or BDS students. Please give me some advice on this fyi, there is still quite a number of them doing the same thing as u mentioned... QUOTE(loveless90 @ Jan 29 2010, 01:15 AM) Hi there. I just got my A level results. How high is my chance of getting accepted into AIMST if i got 4As? did it happen before that 4A student dint get accepted? i need some assurance. tricky yeah, but no harm trying. There was a girl who got 4A's in A levels back in 2007/8 and tried for dentistry. But could not get. Maybe no more space. ;\ Try calling AIMST okay? And i knw it seems a bit off topic...but i have to ask what do u all say about PIDC and MMMC dentistry cos if by any chance i dint get into aimst im goin to either one of these two uni. Added on February 23, 2010, 2:36 amBeen a while since I came back into the forum! Shaun, what a long way you have come! From a high school leaver enquiring about AIMST to a super senior in MBBS. And to all who have enquired about dentistry, past and present... The first batch of dental students, all 37 of us, will be sitting for our finals of all finals in July this year! Please pray for all of us to make AIMST proud and be the first batch of dentists from Malaysia's first private uni BDS program. Added on February 23, 2010, 2:49 am QUOTE(paigedark @ Oct 7 2009, 11:02 PM) ah...long time didn't come here... hahahha we made a joke back in Year 1 about this...got something to share .... does anyone feel that today lunch kang kong is very very delicious? well, i think so.... ![]() Year 1... see bug in food complain like mad to cafeteria aunty/uncle, complain to student affairs, take photos, make noise etc Year 2...see bug, still angry but take and put one side, and stop eating the food. Year 3...see bug, put one side, continue eating the food. Just normal everyday life. Year 4..see bug, eat together with food only, don't care. Year 5... curious why today's lunch got no bug. hahaha but i didn't stick around to see. Though the choice of food has improved tremendously compared to 5 years ago. And i left hostel half way thru year 1 and now Year 5, been eating the same old Lagenda and Taman Ria restaurant food day in day out. In my year (2009 intake) we have at least 100 who are not from foundation. There are people who repeat the foundation year and have been successful-however you lose one year. Weigh the pros and cons. The lecturers here are qualified. Don't worry about that lol. |

Yes, you are most probably to be accepted. But there's no gurantee. I'd suggest you to apply to few unis, and choose accordingly once you received the offer letters.

Your reply just relieved me from my worries that it's slim chance for me to get accepted.Hopefully , I'll be accepted =). pray pray On the other hand , when or how will I know if I'm accepted ? 2 weeks from the day i send my application or will I have to wait until August ? and oh ya , usually is the intake for MBBS students always full wen the class started ? or when the intake close there will be still some space left ? Try to give the admission division a call from time to time after you've send in your application. I'm not sure if they'll either call you or inform you by post.
Most of the time it'll be near to full, maybe a few empty seats will be there as not 100% of the students offered a place will report to the school. The coming batch will have majority of foundation students, and also jpa scholars. |
