things student council have done for the year of 2009

1) extension of library until 10.30 at night
2) improved the food for jaya
3) First Beat 6
4) hostel games week
5) brighten up the hostel at night
6) unclogged the pool of water at various parts of hostel
7) and many many more small things, ie : breaking down of lights in lifts, internet not working well in certain parts of hostel and campus.

things suggested but not achieved yet

1) wireless in cafe
2) campus security
3) bus service
4) attire for library after working hours

things student council are going for in the year 2010

1) improve gym facilities
2) aimst student portal
3) improve food quantity
4) activities for students in aimst


and many more. please feel free to give constructive criticisms.

Yo senior! Batch 13 here. lollll. going on to year 3. i guess now you needa give me some advice on hospital postings. Medicine & surgery starting soon.


Keep it up, hopefully the students council here can be as strong and active as students council from other univ.

medicine = i suggest davidson and oxford handbook of medcine.. u'll need ECG made easy book also....

surgery = bailey & love...
u'll be having bed-side exams after each posting... at the end of yr3term1, u'' hav 2 papers... medicne and surgery CA..... owh ya.. u'll hav 2weeks of community medicine posting also...

yr3term2 = O&G, Paeds, FMCLS( forensic medicine and clinical lab sciences)

Yeah, i've gotten myself davidson. Probably needa get the oxford handbook now. What about manipal book of surgery? Recommended to get?

And yup, i heard about the different postings in year 3 already. Also, the lecturers in the hospitals were scary. Hahaaa. Met Dr. Sunitha already. She's good.

manipal book of surgery also good bcos it has more pictures and illustrations.. but personally, i prefer bailey&love.. the management part in bailey and love is more concise in my opinion..
yea, dr sunita is a very good teacher... she will ask u to read ECG made easy book for her classes... haha,.. make sure u read it,hehe... dr sunita usually asks lots of questions on ECG...
