Hmmm, how do you fail your english in foundation while getting a band 4 for muet. i wonder. you could give the admission division a call. personally i think you should be able to apply if you do not posses any B- in your science subjects, seats are not guranteed though since competition is tough.

yes nightkids89, you can enroll for mbbs course... but, lk what csrulez said, seats are not guaranteed as competition is stiff.. if you're not selected for the coming batch, your name will be placed in a waiting list, for the following intake.. call up aimst for more info...

Hi there. I just got my A level results. How high is my chance of getting accepted into AIMST if i got 4As? did it happen before that 4A student dint get accepted? i need some assurance.
And i knw it seems a bit off topic...but i have to ask what do u all say about PIDC and MMMC dentistry cos if by any chance i dint get into aimst im goin to either one of these two uni. |

There's very high chances of getting a place, however it's not guranteed. My advice would be, apply to all 3 universities. Then, choose the best offer. And i knw it seems a bit off topic...but i have to ask what do u all say about PIDC and MMMC dentistry cos if by any chance i dint get into aimst im goin to either one of these two uni. |

Hey there,
I'm also an A-Level student and would be completing my A-Levels by January next year. My two options that I'm considering is dentistry and medicine. It seems that every year the number of seats available for BDS and MBBS at AIMST is as follows: BDS : 75 MBBS : 200 I understand that for ALL degree programmes at AIMST, the first priority will always be given to the AIMST foundation students. But I'm pretty sure that there are less than 275 foundation in Science students per intake @ AIMST uni which means even if ALL the foundation in Science students were to get accepted into either the MBBS or BDS course there should still be some empty seats available. Thus, I find it difficult to understand how come there are people scoring 4A's in their A-Levels but still failing to gain admission for MBBS and BDS programme @ AIMST uni. Would love some clarification on these. I'm hoping to get accepted into AIMST uni cause I find the fees really reasonable unlike other unis. |

QUOTE(cgan @ Feb 13 2010, 05:47 PM) Hey there, you are mistaken..........search up the thread, i believe someone has mentioned this before, they are taking something like 700-800 foundation students, which makes it a 1 in 3-4 chance of getting into medicine/dentistry...........I'm also an A-Level student and would be completing my A-Levels by January next year. to clarify ur doubts, i would like affirm that aimst is taking that amount of students... 3 batch with each batch 200-300 app... however, not every students make it to get the minimum requirement for mbbs.. they will eventually go to russia or indonesia to further their mbbs...
if u getting 4As in ur stpm or a lvl, it is not a worry for u... u will be accepted... many of my class(mbbs) is a lvl n stpm students... almost 40% of them... if is bds, there is still slight chance if u apply early n with good grades.. |

1 to 2 non-foundation students.. wow! That means my chances are slim man. how disappointing. just wonder, since the fees for the MBBS and BDS course @ AIMST is really affordable, would it be crazy if after my a-levels i realise i was not acccepted to either the MBBS or BDS course, i apply for the foundation programme instead and just do another 1 year foundation so that i may get a seat @ for the MBBS or BDS programme? i know it sounds really crazy but wat do u guys recommend? I really wanna hear from current AIMST MBBS or BDS students. Please give me some advice on this
