They still give me a Motorola DECT phone, which I still haven't unpack it yet. And the installer left an extra Thomson router too .. tried to call him back, no answer .. so, bye bye la.

I suspended my maxis account and now they want me to walk in to their maxis center to do the cancellation. I guess I can't avoid the 500 penalty charges.

just back from Maxis center and confirm that for my case i can waived the penalty because is a miss selling from their agent where they mentioned is a 500kbps instead of 500kBps (bit vs bytes)

500kbps = 500/8 = 62.5KBps
meaning 500 kilo bits = 62.5 kilo bytes

In case you didnt notice, maxis plan is cheaper. How cam they give iptv, better speed, yet cheaper than unifi? They are using TM's network anyway, so there will be a catch somewhere.

Anyone notice there's a bug with the Technicolor TG784N V3 where after you switch off and on the router, the WiFi connections get stuck? Going into the router and saving the wireless connection settings makes it work again, but I hope I don't have to do that all the time.

Any ideas?

yeah, known bug I guess if you select WPA2-PSK only. Have to resort to use WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK until firmware fix update.

my conclusion after on Maxis for 3 weeks is that it sucks big time!
Thank god i manage to avoid the RM500 penalty
If you install it and found that it does not fit you immediately call them and log a case with them
Tell them is their wrong selling (500kbps vs 500kBps)
Tell them that you want to cancel
Ask them to log it inside their call log and provide you with an interaction number
Then go apply Unifi
Set installation date with Unifi
Once install, call Maxis to Suspend the account (so they wont bill you anymore)
Then go to Maxis Center to fill up a cancellation form
you are done... finally back with Unifi!

hi guys, i would like to know the t & c for the RM118 package. unable to view this package since version 2 of this thread... the picture is all black...
just want to be reminded what is included in the package...

I know that there is 10Mbps speed with 100GB cap. But forgot :

1) how many free minutes to maxis fixed lines?
2) how many free minutes to maxis mobile?
3) how many free minutes to IDD 10 destinations? and which destinations?
4) how many free minutes to maxis lines if tagged on to maxis mobile?

any more freebies that i have missed out? thanks.

yes is unlimited but with capped for P2P like torrent. Cap you at 50kbps so you cant do shit
QVOD, PPS, BAIDU PLAYER - all streaming player that uses almost the same concept also capped. only thing not capped maybe porn site and youtube.

have you tried using vpn? i know its not really a fix, but it should work right? hmm.gif

after reading about the thomson router issues, I feel it is a must to get a custom router and live with having three devices rather than just two sweat.gif

and i don't understand why is there a ping issue when they are sharing the same network as unifi rclxub.gif

Maxis dota 2 ping is around 23 to as high as 49ms
Unifi from 7 to highest also 19ms
