Its just different way of running business. Exchange 1 to 1 means u got lots of second hand spare parts cos most hardware is still good. So in the end, future 1 to 1 will be given refurb sets.

Changing only defect parts means no additional second hand spare parts and no refurb sets. Damage phones get new parts.

Up to each company to run their own way.

But i do agree that Samsung should give 1 to 1 exchange for sets that are defective immediately after purchase. Maybe 1 week grace period.

You are just unlucky. My S2 more than 1.5 years, tab more than 1 year, note 2 more than 6 months. All never visited samsung before. Last time my htc, asus, hp have to go visit service center at least twice during warranty.

Seriously =.= Even my new Mazda 3 also got lots of problem. Visit mazda like every once a week since March. Suay la. Hopefully digi extend my warranty to 2 years la lol cause they actually extend my iPhone 5 contract to 2 years. But for now, I still haven't receive any post card saying warranty extended on my new Note 2 yet lol.

We've hit the same situation like PCs/notebooks .... sizes remain about the same, form factor is about the same (you want a round phone?) all you get are faster CPUs and more storage, perhaps more RAM and/or battery life.

At least the Note family differentiates with its active digitizer.
