My New note 2 can't connect to wifi no matter what i do. I just got it from digi =.= It keeps obtaining ip address. Someone pls help =(

It's my home network with password. and it's Wpa2 psk

Nope mine doesn't have to do that. My other devices iPhone 5 are all good. Except for my note 2

Tried restarting everything. None of them works.

Damn it. stupid Digi unit seriously. Wifi pass all right.

I've tried all the above methods. None of them works. I even tried using hotspot from my iPhone 5, and it doesn't connect as well.

Finally working! LOL. Which idk what's wrong. I restarted the phone for like 16 times and finally it works -.-

I wondering as if because of my settings on my modem-router. I changed from 5ghz to 2.4ghz. Now trying to change it back to 5 and see the problem still exist.

Yeap 5 is for 802.11a. 5ghz on N is just for clearer signal + better speed.



Update: Alright. It's a confirmed. It can't support 5ghz wireless.

I also not so familiar with networking stuffs. But I've tried on 2 different routers. D-link 2750u and Asus n12u B1. Unfortunately, both on 5ghz bandwidth unable to support my note 2. Whereby 2.4ghz is all good for my note 2.

Just change the 5ghz wireless mode to 2.4ghz. Here are some ideas about 5ghz and 2.4ghz wireless =)

Damn wifi problem came back. It seems that it's not about 5ghz or 2.4ghz wireless. I'm gonna send back to sc now -.-

Anyone tried 1 to 1 replacement unit from Samsung before?

I got my phone like on Sunday and it can't connect to wifi. I've sent in the phone to Samsung today and asking for 1 to 1 replacement, they said need to check first. I believe it's an defective unit. Isn't there such policy that 1 to 1 item replacement as if the item defect in between a week?

Without a smartphone is really a pain in the ass. It requires 3 days for the inspection, so I'm thinking of asking a 1 to 1 replacement.

I scare after all the fixes then the problem still persist and needa send back to them again. Waste of time. A defect device can never be fix in a 80% rate i can say.


Btw: I'm new to Android devices, used to be an i5 owner. I realize there's no 3g on my note 2 wherever i go. It appears sometimes for less than 1 sec and it gone off back to H. Is this normal? Or it's another connectivity issue on the phone itself?

[/QUOTE]You cannot take apart components like wifi etc.. It all comes in 1 mainboard. So if one of it is defective they have to change the whole mainboard. So it will be like a new device except using back same casing and etc.

Some people have manage to get 1 to 1 after "singing" alot to the customer service but still have to subject to samsung management approval or something like that.


Which means basically it's a whole new phone, why can't they change 1 to 1 =.= haih

After this thing happened, I don't really have a big hope that my phone would last for like 1 and the half years or ++.

Seriously =.= Even my new Mazda 3 also got lots of problem. Visit mazda like every once a week since March. Suay la. Hopefully digi extend my warranty to 2 years la lol cause they actually extend my iPhone 5 contract to 2 years. But for now, I still haven't receive any post card saying warranty extended on my new Note 2 yet lol.
