QUOTE(joytest @ Apr 7 2013, 07:31 PM) I think you may need the "rice bag" trick. You should also check if the water damage indicator by the battery has turned red. Take out the battery first please and dump it in the rice bag for about 1 day to absorb the moisture. It's my home network with password. and it's Wpa2 pskDoes your wifi need a password? You can check Advanced settings and select WPA/PSK or etc. |

I've tried all the above methods. None of them works. I even tried using hotspot from my iPhone 5, and it doesn't connect as well.

QUOTE(joytest @ Apr 7 2013, 10:47 PM) In which case I suspect it supports 5GHz for n, not for a since a is like ages ago (11mbps). Anyone with a swanky router setup can confirm this? I also not so familiar with networking stuffs. But I've tried on 2 different routers. D-link 2750u and Asus n12u B1. Unfortunately, both on 5ghz bandwidth unable to support my note 2. Whereby 2.4ghz is all good for my note 2.According to the spec sheet from Samsung: http://www.samsung.com/my/consumer/mobile-...7100RWDXME-spec WiFi a/b/g/n HT40 I just did a quick read, it looks like HT40 is some kind of extra bandwidth pumping feature that is supposed to handle Miracast/Allshare Widi type of thing. EDIT: Does your router support n? |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Apr 9 2013, 06:12 PM) full charge then everything in the battery menu will gone I got my phone like on Sunday and it can't connect to wifi. I've sent in the phone to Samsung today and asking for 1 to 1 replacement, they said need to check first. I believe it's an defective unit. Isn't there such policy that 1 to 1 item replacement as if the item defect in between a week? once discharge your phone then got the other like SOT, apps, etc ... lol then I also can say any colour can be spray on the white casing seriously I don't try stock ROM anymore no and is impossible Without a smartphone is really a pain in the ass. It requires 3 days for the inspection, so I'm thinking of asking a 1 to 1 replacement. |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Apr 9 2013, 06:26 PM) they only can help you check for problem, impossible 1 to 1 replacement I scare after all the fixes then the problem still persist and needa send back to them again. Waste of time. A defect device can never be fix in a 80% rate i can say. samsung not htc, if htc then can 1 to 1 replacement Btw: I'm new to Android devices, used to be an i5 owner. I realize there's no 3g on my note 2 wherever i go. It appears sometimes for less than 1 sec and it gone off back to H. Is this normal? Or it's another connectivity issue on the phone itself? [/QUOTE]You cannot take apart components like wifi etc.. It all comes in 1 mainboard. So if one of it is defective they have to change the whole mainboard. So it will be like a new device except using back same casing and etc.
Some people have manage to get 1 to 1 after "singing" alot to the customer service but still have to subject to samsung management approval or something like that. Which means basically it's a whole new phone, why can't they change 1 to 1 =.= haih QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 9 2013, 06:36 PM) Not normal if you are in 3G or H coverage. I don't get what u mean. What u meant by not normal if you're in 3g or H coverage?I force my connection to WCDMA only and it captures these two types of connection all the time. Of course no H+ because DiGi has no H+. Normally my phone written H almost all the time. H better than 3g or 3g better than H ah? This post has been edited by EdwinCodec: Apr 9 2013, 06:44 PM |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Apr 9 2013, 06:53 PM) Its just different way of running business. Exchange 1 to 1 means u got lots of second hand spare parts cos most hardware is still good. So in the end, future 1 to 1 will be given refurb sets. After this thing happened, I don't really have a big hope that my phone would last for like 1 and the half years or ++.Changing only defect parts means no additional second hand spare parts and no refurb sets. Damage phones get new parts. Up to each company to run their own way. But i do agree that Samsung should give 1 to 1 exchange for sets that are defective immediately after purchase. Maybe 1 week grace period. QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 9 2013, 06:58 PM) Haha. No wonder. Okay got it. Thanks for the info! So as long as it stays at H then it's all good since I'm a digi user so can't expect much as u said digi got no H+ lolThis post has been edited by EdwinCodec: Apr 9 2013, 07:00 PM |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Apr 9 2013, 07:09 PM) You are just unlucky. My S2 more than 1.5 years, tab more than 1 year, note 2 more than 6 months. All never visited samsung before. Last time my htc, asus, hp have to go visit service center at least twice during warranty. Seriously =.= Even my new Mazda 3 also got lots of problem. Visit mazda like every once a week since March. Suay la. Hopefully digi extend my warranty to 2 years la lol cause they actually extend my iPhone 5 contract to 2 years. But for now, I still haven't receive any post card saying warranty extended on my new Note 2 yet lol. |
