Never impress by its performance. It up swift real soon to preserve your FC.
I did impressed by its gear ratio. All gear can be done below 1500-1800rpm (minimum). Doing 60km/h at 1200rpm and 80km/h at nearly 1800rpm.
*
The Skyactiv-G sure is definitely designed with fuel economy in mind. Keeping gears shifts at low RPM paired with an engine with a high compression ratio contributes to it.

methinks you didn't test the mk7 enough to know what you're talking about. Yes, it could use a little more kit for the price, I agree. But ride, handling, comfort and refinement etc. That is way better than so many cars out there. To say that you rather stay on the myvi... wow, that really takes the cake.
*
Some people just tend to over exaggerate. Have to compare apple to apple, orange to orange. I believe every has it's own driving characteristics and dynamics. Heck, if the Golf wasn't that common on the road... I probably would have gotten one. laugh.gif

Where to get the Shark Fin antenna??
*
Well, for those that doesn't come stock. You can only opt for a decorative shark fin. Finding the same colour would be difficult and you'd need to respray to original paint.

Can find from car accessory shops. I found the following at shops near Sunway University.

dear all , does anyone of you know where can I touch up my rim, got a small scratch at the edge.  Although not obvious but don't like to see that.  I don't like to re-spray the whole rim.  I went to a car paint workshop, he told me hard to do the touch up as it may be hv color difference, not looks original and may not up to my expectation.  thanks in advance
*
Bro, if touch up, sure bound to see difference. Just touch up and make it less obvious. Cheaper than respraying too.

You can contact Jeff @ King of Rims @ Shah Alam

Hi all, is anyone there have issue on loading iPod/iPhone music library using the USB? For me it take very long time to load just 14GB of music. I think around 3-4 minutes...  mad.gif
*
Loading iphone's ipod music library does take longer with USB. I got about 5.7GB of music and it loads within a min or so. The music system department is not getting much praises from the users. Especially those using USB flash drives.

Just for a quick update my FC, trip from KL to Cameraon Highland.
RM90 48Litre - can go 650km
so is about 7.3L for 100km

biggrin.gif Im quite happy with this number d.
*
That's really good mileage for 2.5. My >90% city driving giving me only 10.5L/100km. Have you passed your first 1000km service?

Or wait until first 1k service?
*
Don't rev it beyond redline. Else just drive like normal for breaking in. Avoid constant speed for long period (cruise control).

Higgsboson You've got PM!

Should read those menu.  doh.gif

Don't worry and overthink. Just avoid doing that until after first service has been done.

Hi guys, if you guys still recall my previous post regards body surfaces with bintik-bintik & paint crack condition. I did sent my M6 last week and only collected my baby yesterday.

Now my body paint condition really look great and better than their show room car. Hehehe.  rclxm9.gif
Have to praise the technical guy & the Tribos. Good job !
*
Do you know if they actually polished the car again? What did they do for the paint crack?

Hi Neo, Im haven't join yet. Was tried to find the link again, but could not find it. Mind to share the link again.

Sorry to hear for your case. So are  they agree to touch up for you ?
As for my case, I did spotted it during my car delivery, and immediately ask my SA to put inside the Delivery Note.

I sent my car last Thrusday and only able to get my car this Wednesday, took them 6 days from the re-spray (caused by paint crack), polish & wax and lastly tribos.
Luckily everything went well.
*
miloc You've got PM!

I am glad to hear that they actually respray the paint crack area. All this was done in which service center?

Just found another big disappointment on my new m6...

the wind noise... very unacceptable... my speed just around 120km/h

vmad.gif

Is there anyway to solve it??????
*
Cheaper solution would be this.

More expensive would be to add sound insulation material underneath your door panels. Like this.

Also contributing to the road noise would be the 19" wheels and tyres. Bridgestone tyres are usually on the noisy side.

Nice. Glad to hear your problem has been solved.

Heh..how to avoid stone chip? This thing happened in a blink of an eye. I was on my way back on NKVE hiway today, waiting to change lane behind a trailer, and then bang....a stone dropped by that lorry hit my hood and windscreen. It left its mark. Combined with the parking ding I got in JB last two weeks, enough to make me cry in my heart  cry.gif . My 6 is not even a month yet.
*
Sometimes even when you're not behind a lorry also kena one, random stone come from road debris.

Well, can opt to apply those protective film on your hood and front bumper area to fully protect yourself from stone chips. Ventureshield is a famous one. Llumar has it too.

QUOTE(kindman @ Apr 22 2013, 03:42 PM)
today I sent my car to mazda pj under appointment with tribos cos I noticed there is a lot of black spot on my m6 front left panel (like engine oil stain).  It looks under the tribos coating.  Initially I thought is easy work by removing the tribos and polish of paint surface then re-coat of tribos without damage to my original paint.  But after trying, the stain still there, end up they have to respray the whole thing.  Sakit hati, I know that respray quality cant compare with original paint in term of durability and quality.  The worst part is I have to leave my car there for 3 days.  Really troublesome, i need work everyday, and my wife's work place is totally different direction from mine. sigh ! Now i am wating for them to schedule for my cvar to respray.  my front left panel now with no tribos , haha.

According to the person in charge, they need that 3 days as a lot of procedure set by kansai needs to be comply.  That's y they need 3 days just a small portion of spray.

So for whose who has their car now, please check again make any bintik bintik hitam on your car, ratify fast is better.  For whose who is going to collect their car, please check carefully during delivery.

Additional info, i was informed that m6 which delivered on march, tribos quality arised. haha
*
Front left panel means near the front wheel arches?

Bro, really that noticeable? Really want to let them respray?

What do you mean tribos quality "arised"? What is it?

sorry, forget to reply you what i meant quality issue arise.  I was informed that that batch of car have problem because the tribos sprayer was rushing for jobs.  too bad
*
The one issue that is certain is those with sunroof. The rubber seals surrounding the sunroof has whitish stain known to be caused by Tribos.
